Typical NBA big man project. Blocked a bunch of shots in college, not a great deal of offensive refinement. I think they're looking for a defensive backup for Bogut.

Not too big on taking Patrick Patterson. We have all the defense and rebounding we need, but we need a big time scoring threat. We already have Yao if healthy, and Luis Scola who is a very solid PF. Maybe we are thinking of droping Scola or Ming after next year and grooming Patterson to take over but still, we need points. Drafting Patrick Patterson pretty much means the Rockets are not planning on making a serious move for Chris Bosh anymore. They better get us someone good this off season or deal either PP or Scola.
