Official Nashville Predators Thread

It's hard to score when (seems like) 75% of your shots, every single game, are coming from your defenseman at the blue line.

There's two reasons we have a hard time getting pure offensive player here
1. Trotz's dogshat system
2. No skilled offensive player wants to dump the puck, take a beating , and get in front of a Weber and co. blast for 60 minutes.

Are you serious? Not once, but twice, Stalberg decides to leave his man all alone in the slot & Pekka had no chance.

Pekka stood on his head all night once again.

His main concern is to stop the puck from getting in the net.

I'm not saying it's 100% on him, but ultimately it's his responsibility

I know we are mathematically well within range for a wildcard spot, but we are also damn near guaranteed a top 5 pick.

It's almost time for pictures of tanks I think

It's been time for pictures of tanks for a while. A top 5 pick would benefit this team way more than sneaking into the playoffs only to get swept by Anaheim.

You'll get the #1 and take Ekblad.

True.

If we could somehow land Ekblad then trade Weber for one of the packages we discussed the other day, I'd be ecstatic. Top 4 would be set for a long, long time & we'd finally have some stud forwards.

It won't happen though. I'm convinced Nashville will continue to settle for less than mediocre offense & a solid blue line.

Why don't we let Steve Sulliivan, Scott Nichol, and Martin Gelinas coach the rest of the year while we find a replacement.
