Official Nashville Predators Thread

I went to bed at the end of the 2nd period.

Sucks I missed that comeback, but no way I could have stayed up past midnight and been up on time haha

Stayed up way too late to watch the end of that game, but it was worth it.

This might be way too hyperbolic, but that is one of the better wins in franchise history, IMO. It wasn't a series clincher but it might as well have been. Down 2-0 going into the 3rd period against the best franchise in the league over the last 5-7 years and come back to win in OT. I thought Chicago actually seemed rattled early in the game.

There is absolutely nothing fluky at all about these wins. The Hawks' main scoring threats have been effectively eliminated. I lost count at how many times Toews and Hossa turned the puck over due to Nashville's pressure; that is extremely uncharacteristic for both of those guys and a testament to how well Nashville is playing. I thought Crawford played a lot better for them, which they have to feel better about but it wasn't enough.

Good for Nashville. Never thought they could possibly sweep Chicago

I don't think anyone saw this type of performance coming.

I'm sure most thought we had a shot to win the series (or at least make it interesting), but I never thought we'd be in position to sweep the #1 seed.

I didn't think the Preds would have even been in the playoffs 2 months ago.

when the Preds were up about 3-0 on Sat nite, I got on line to look at tickets and rolled the dice then bought Thurs tix. It should be crazy.

Need someone to go with? :)

it is amazing how when you have tickets to something like The Masters or a series clinching playoff game you have soooo many friends.

I'd let you have it but there's a certain teen age boy at my house that might fight you before giving them up. I bought them on Saturday and at the end of the Monday game he looks at me and says "you are the most brilliant dad in the world".

They really need to close this thing out tonight or in Game 5. If Chicago is able to get it back to 3-2 via wins in Games 4 and 5, I think it really becomes all bets are off because they will have recaptured momentum and it wouldn't really matter that they were still down a game - Games 6 and 7 could easily go either way.

I keep waiting for Nashville to slip up for extended periods of time during a game or for Chicago's superior all-around skill to show itself, but the only period of time that Chicago has been in control of this series was the first half of the second period in Game 3. Toews, Kane, Panarin, and Hossa have combined for 2 points in this series.
