The Western Conference is full of teams who have had trouble scoring goals late in the season. For this reason alone, if any of the teams go on an offensive run in the playoffs, they are most assuredly moving through the competition. The team most capable of breaking out is the Predators.
Nashville led the NHL in standings points for most of the season before coming back to the pack late in the campaign. The Predators still lead the entire Western Conference with a 1.26 goals for-to-goals against ratio during 5-on-5 play. Goaltender Pekka Rinne is more than capable of taking this team on his back, as he and Montreal's Carey Price had been the front runners for the Vezina Trophy for much of the season (prior to Rinne's injury). Nashville has the depth up front that combines both scoring on the top two lines and lock-it-down defensive checking lines to challenge any opponent.
So, the NHL Center Ice I have paid for all year doesn't allow me to watch the playoffs, because "NBC owns all right", says the support agent.
So the National Hockey League can't conjointly broadcast through their own paid service the National Hockey League playoffs?
I ****ing hate bull**** like this
Why you so mad?? It was clear that Center Ice was only for the regular season. You shouldnt have a problem seeing all the games on cable. So, the NHL Center Ice I have paid for all year doesn't allow me to watch the playoffs, because "NBC owns all right", says the support agent.

I don't have TV or cable, but my *****ing is about the principle.
I'd pay $30-$40 for an entirely separate package to stream NHL playoffs on my computer. Yet in 2015, this has probably been possible for 5+ years, but still doesn't exist.
Not really understanding why you have issue with the "principle". The playoff rights are owned by NBC exclusively. Yes, it is 2015 and you can stream the NHL playoffs from NBC Sports Live Extra.

*If you pay for a cable service. If you own a TV. This is my entire argument.
I don't own a radio, but I can pay to listen to music or podcasts. I don't own a DVD player, but can pay to watch movies. I don't own a TV or provider yet I can pay to watch Wrestlemania, or UFC 186. All on my computer.
I understand TV rights. I just think the NHL should be able to offer a package to stream their own league's playoffs, even if have to split this income with NBC. The only service offered, NBCS, exists for those who already pay for a provider.
I'm going to a bar to watch anyway, so I'm over it.
