Official Nashville Predators Thread

Who decided to let Willy Daunic be a play by play guy on the radio? I like him ok as a talk show host but he seriously does not have the voice to do play by play. He sounds ridiculous.

I actually agree. I always liked him as one of the real "supporters" of the team, and he had good interviews, but his play by play is not good at all. And this is from a guy who chooses radio over TV for most sporting events in every sport.

Every time I suspected a loss, they've won (most notably Hutton vs. Hawks)

Anyways... don't forget that Mike Fisher will come back and add some good depth to our offense...

But if we do I'll begin the process of starting to potentially give a modicum of credence to our prospects of sustained success this year beyond our logical ceiling of 3rd in the division.

Our Stanley Cup is a division title. We haven't won one yet and I suspect it will be a while before we do if ever.

Damn son. I see being a Vol fan has made you jaded and apparently that rolls over to every team you root for.

The main thing I'm worried about is that literally all of our goals are when the first line is out on the ice... no way they keep that up for the whole year

Which line(s) will step up and score the dang puck?

That stuff will generally balance itself over time

Rinne is now 6-0-0 vs Winnapeg

One thing I find a little concerning: Nashville has allowed the first goal in 12 of 17 games this season

I wish I had found that stat while looking at NHL moneylines tonight! That's impressive.

We have definitely played a ton of "catch up". That wears on any team after a while.

Dammit why Hutton? I don't understand forfeiting a non back-to-back game.

Your goalie's in his thirties, you expect to go to the playoffs, and you're playing a road game against a team in the other conference. I assume you want to keep Rinne fresh enough to play at a high level every game for two straight months in the spring, right? It's a good time to let the backup have a start.

I like beating Canadian teams on the road, especially Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa. We only visit 3/4ths of those guys once a year, so I posted an emotional response to the situation; however, I'm aware that we acted with best interests of the team at heart.

I just want home ice. I have no issues with resting Rinne. We just a better backup. Hopefully one of our young goalies developes
