Official Nashville Predators Thread

At some point the core of players that helped us to so many playoff games and success had to go. We are lucky to have guys like Weber, Rinne, Horny, etc going forward. We don't need a 2-3 rebuild, just this offseason to shed the weight

Agreed and I expect next year to be quite a bit better.

A core of Rinne, Weber, Josi, Klein, Hornqvist, Wilson, Smith, Bourque, & Beck is solid. We get our first look at Forsberg tomorrow and hopefully he's the elite forward we've needed for a while.

I'm still hopeful Poile goes after a sniper this offseason.

Lose tomorrow, and hope Tampa picks up a point against Florida. That would move us into the top 3, barring a team behind us winning the lottery. The top 2 forwards in the draft Mackinnon/Drouin would likely be available since Seth Jones is expected to get taken at 1. I'd be ecstatic for either, but Mackinnon is the franchise centerman this organization has been desperate for.

I'm going to be pissed if we get some undersized two way defenseman. We have a chance to get a difference maker on the offensive 3rd

The 2nd pick would have been nice. The ESPN mock draft has us taking LW Aleksander Barkov from Finland
