Official March Madness Thread

I don't see how Loyola can be competitive with the other three, but they'll probably surprise me.

I think it would be foolish to underestimate them at this point. I don’t expect they’ll win but I think they’ll definitely be competitive with Michigan.

Oh no....2 #1 seeds, a #3 seed and an #11 seed made the Final Four. Clearly we have to start re-seeding the tourney!

Watching the games today, felt a little bad that the three best teams are stuck fighting for 1 spot in the title game.

Did you feel bad that Kentucky had an easy path?

That’s how it goes.

Also, I think Michigan and Kansas are comparable

Anyone else think the TBS coverage is bad. Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley know very little about these college basketball teams so their analysis is weak. How many times have they moved a sporting event that was doing very well on one station to another one and almost tanked it.

I could listen to those guys all day regardless of the topic.

I will say I have always felt they should seed the final four. The two games are always arbitrary matchups. It should be Villanova-Loyola and Michigan-Kansas.

After watching that Duke/Kansas game, I am reminded that those teams are on another level when compared to Tennessee. No disrespect to UT, I just don’t think we will ever be able to field a team like those. Not to say we won’t ever reach the final four, but if we do, our approach has to be way different, gritty and defensive, not talent, flash, and 17 alley oops 😬

I agree, we don’t have the guard play to beat any of the teams in the final four. If we could get a really good PG or SG we would be a lot closer.

I had this thought yesterday and I think it has some merit.

Kansas and Duke yesterday we saw a number of times player step on the line and it cause TOs. It happened more than normal imo. I think the reason it happened was Because the sidelines weren't painted any differently than the court Itself. I think all sidelines should be a dark solid Color. JMO

I actually thought the same. When playing at full speed, that would be hard to differentiate.

Yup, noticed it as well. I am sure they will look at it for the future.

Watched CBS evening news, and they showed that Loyola basketball bouncing around the rim at the end of the Tennessee game again. That definitely had Sister Jean influence.
