I was at that game. The teams were in pre-game warmups when the skydiver landed on about the 40-yard line. Good thing the guy was pretty good at maneuvering his chute - he somehow missed all the players from both teams. The players just sort of stood around and looked at him until he gathered up his chute and ran off the field. The fans - it was actually a good crowd by Duke standards - all cheered. I guess they thought it was military appreciation day.

FWIW, it was Cutcliffe's debut as head coach at Duke. Not only did an uninvited skydiver land in the stadium - the game was also delayed almost two hours by lightning. Cut found out right off the bat that being head coach at Duke is, well, interesting.:birgits_giggle:
