Official Madden 2012 Thread

This was from Phil Frazier before he left EA. Just wanted to point it out because if it works as advertised, it will make the defensive side of the ball a lot better and involve a lot more strategy.

Phil Frazier: The way it worked before was more of a generic pump fake, but now you can actually direct where you're faking to throw the ball. So now you can pump fake one direction, then throw the ball to the other side of the field.
Another thing we added this year is the ability to adjust the shading of your defensive backs on receivers. Now you can play press on an individual receiver on a play as opposed to playing press on everybody. You can also have a defender shade inside or outside of the receiver depending on whether you press shade left or shade right. Or you can just back one guy off and give him extra space. We give you a lot of options, and while some of these might sound like small features, with our goal to be true to the game and true to the NFL, we want to make sure we're giving our "Madden" fans ultra-fine control over our defense this year. It has been a while since some of these features have been in our game and we're glad to finally have them back.
 
Reid im sure me you and BC and i know atleast Vuaghn can get an adiitional dynasty going if all are intrested. Jonesy and Train could join also not sure it will last long because we had some issues before. We need to atleast get one going bro.

Agree. Also Reid, what I think would be the best thing to do would be wait til Madden is out then before we start our online franchise, make sure free agency has hit in the real world due to the lockout, then I will run though one season with updated and named AA rosters (all simmed) to get the graduating seniors and early departures for that year. Then just keep doing it for three or four years until the last freshman(real life) class graduates. Then we will just use generated Madden rookies for the drafts.

They released info on Online Franchise...there are no changes...the game is basically not worth buying unless you want to pay to use one of those websites.
 
If their wasn't a website I would still play this game the enhancements made to the game make it look unreal.

I should say then unless you want to play offline or random matches...I am a franchis or dynasty guy. I will not get madden again until they incorporate the websites as part of buying the game in some fashion.
 
I am not paying extra to use a feature that should be incorporated in the game itself much like the NCAA website.
 
I was told you pay at these sites. That it is a 20 dollar about fee per season. Is this not true? What does LM do for free agents and trades?
Who told you that?? League Manager was free last year, you could donate but their wasnt a a fee for it.
