At wr this kid right here is killing ****. 266 yards rec. Per game if Reid had someone to throw to him he would have 450 a game. I'm the Jerry Rice of route running. Reid is Randy Moss get you 6 tds a game.

Got a chance to play Madden. Not bad

Does pastapadre or anyone offer updated rosters? Gonna have it for a few days and the rosters are jacked up. Vince Yong, Kerry Collins, Randy Moss, Justin Gage, Jason Babin etc. are still on the Titans. Hasselback is still on the Seahawks. Pryor is a free agent. And the list goes on

I don't think madden is like NCAA they pretty much keep the rosters updated on their own.

The rosters in madden are updated by EA continuously online. Ex: If Manning is out for next the next 2 or 3 months, the rosters for the game will update to reflect it when playing on live or the psn.

Does it update on it's own just by getting online or do you have to attempt play a user match before it offers to update the rosters for you? I don't have gold at the moment so just curious how it works. Haven't played Madden in a couple of years

so how does the rookie scouting system work here? Is it still like 5 or so weeks of scouting max and then you stop getting info on the rookie prospect?

Apparently you have to have gold to download the rosters. So if someone never plays online but wants the correct rosters, EA/Microsoft is charging that person 60-65 dollars for a game that has incorrect rosters and another 10-15 to fix them. Neat

You are upset that they are charging you for online content? Dont like it, go to PS3, their service is free. How in the hell can you blame EA for this?

You can also download the updated rosters from sites and not have to have gold or even any internet capability at all on your console.

This is a little different. In this scenario, I'm not looking for rosters to be updated throughout the year. I'm looking for the rosters to be the way they should be for game one of the season. The Eagles signed VY more than a month before the game was released and Vince Young is still on the Titans... charging people for opening day rosters shouldn't be "online content" or "extras". That should be part of buying the game in general. Anyways, I'm not that upset because I'm only going to have the game for a few days but it seems excessive to force people to have gold just for the opening days rosters. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. I feel like for 60 bucks, EA should give you the correct rosters to start out the season. Injuries, cuts, signings, trades etc. throughout the season I understand.

By the way, I just made a new gt for one free month, downloaded the rosters and signed into my original gamer tag and saved the rosters. Problem solved

Back before online gaming on consoles, did you ever play madden with correct rosters? That's my point, you will have to pay to have online features, with live anyway.

I did on PS2 and Xbox but not before that. Definitely got NCAA player names for PS2. Prior to that, the games weren't very realistic anyways though. Now that they are, I'd like to try to have the rosters at least somewhat similar to the opening day rosters. I haven't played in madden in a couple years but I recall on 08 like half of the drafted rookies were in free agency. I have no problem with EA requiring you to have gold or an online pass to have your rosters updated throughout the season. They should make exceptions for people who don't play online to download the opening day rosters. Stock rosters for the start of the season should be free. So basically, the first time you sign online, they update your rosters. Then after that, you do it manually throughout the season and have to have gold -- This isn't an issue for most people as most people play online.
