this game looks beautiful. hopefully it has the same great gameplay from last year and a good presentation to go along with it. that and include a fix to the "no salary" cap garbage from online franchse.

agreed; but especially keep up the gameplay aspect

I'm still thinking after watching that video that the only thing bothering me is the 99 speed player should possibly be beating the 90 speed guy by more at the end there

No way, the speed differential is already exaggerated in these games. We're talking about the difference of a few tenths of a second, and 90 speed is supposed to be fairly fast.

I know but since 99 is the top, I always feel a 99 speed should look like...well (he wouldnt be 99 speed) remember that Super Bowl TD by Larry Fitzgerald? 99 should be like that with a once I get up to full speed, if you're behind me it's not even close

I think there's more to it than speed though. I mean all things being equal there are very few players that would be able to "blow away" all 11 opposing players on foot speed alone. Most breakaway touchdowns seem like blown assignments where someone picks the wrong guy to cover, or there's someone who falls down, etc. So then a guy with excellent speed still makes it look like he would've done that if there wasn't even any blocking on the play.

right i understand that; i think what i was getting at though is that those few players that can "blow away" with speed should be able to if it's realistic is all

Gus Johnson might be one of the new announcers. I love Gus Johnson but I don't really associate him with the NFL. I have never heard him announce a game except for the Stokely catch last year.

apparently EA doesnt do screen shots of the first round picks on their teams in madden this year

Worked out ok for Larry Fitzgerald.

Seriously, I am well aware of the "curse," but it is just superstitious nonsense. When your profile gets raised, people are going to target you a little more. Teams are going to key in on you.

And frankly, it takes a little luck NOT to get hurt or have a bad year in the NFL. If one was fortunate enough to have a good run the previous season(s), it's reasonable that at some point that luck is going to turn.

There is a curse, Fitz was the second one announced for the cover with Troy, so Troy was the one who paid the price since he was the primary person on the cover:) Of course everything I just said was complete BS

Madden to have 3v3 online team play. Sounds pretty freaking fun to me. On defense, you can have one person at each level. On offense, you could do alot of different things based on the play you are running.

F'ing A. Was wondering when the world of football would start getting into online teamplay. For anyone who has played NHL or NBA2K will tell you that it is highly addicting

It would be so sick to play defense with two other players. I would love to play some linebacking without having to worry about the safety behind actually falling into his zone. Sounds so fun.

I am pretty sure that given the right scheming, a defense with three users could be nearly unstoppable.

How would you set up the users? I think I would have two at the OLBs. And a safety on the opposite side of where the ball is marked on the hashes.

This is pretty much what I envisioned as well. OLB's watch the QB and patrol the middle (staggered), let the safety cover deep and contain the wide side of the field if the offense tosses it to something in the flats or tries to go deep on that side.

I would have the wide DE contain blitz, and let the other three linemen play the run more than anything.

At least as far as a coverage look.

The blitzes one could do off of that could be pretty scary. Plus, with that many users it would then be feasible to do delayed blitzes without leaving obvious coverage holes-- something you just can't do with only one user.

We think the same way with this stuff. I thought about the delay blitzes too. I don't think I would want anyone on the line. Having two LBs as users is the best option because you have so much of a scope of influence on all types of plays
