but the game needs something like it. there still needs to be some kind of cap or rule in madden where a member of an online franchise has a limit on how much they can spend or at least have it to where members have to adhere to their team's budget. otherwise everyone can get all the big star players that become free agents in the offseasons with little to no consequence. it's a totally broken system.

They do still have a cap in offline franchise and it is the default setting. So I don't really see why they still don't have a cap for the online franchise. Haven't understood the reasoning behind ignoring such a potentially great mode. Look at what online dynasty did for NCAA.

I am not a Madden guy, I like NCAA better most years. But I had a couple of friends online with Madden and thought I would try it this year. I must say I love it. It has the real feel of wait for holes to open and trying to dart through before they close. And forget just trying to beat LBs outside not happening, but if you slow down and let the blocks set you can blast it. Graphics are great. I think the playcall setting your situation playbook if pretty tight but I can see it getting old fairly quick. And Chris Johnsons speed......KILLS.

Fast? Yes. Significantly faster than OLB's? No. As a Titans user I have a big problem when an OLB or even a safety catches me from behind when I'm CJ.

yeah even last year it seems that when his speed reaches top gear, the animation has a problem with it and he doesn't quite slow down, but he doesn't breakaway / will get caught from behind at that point....i dont know how they would fix that other than making something in the game engine that only his character would use, which they would probably feel is a waste of resources



but yes, I know what you mean. After having watched him play the last two years - and especially having seen his long runs, including those where he just books it along the sidelines - it really doesn't feel right or make enough sense that a Safety who has to cross the field at an angle should/would catch up to and tackle him

Ultimate team is pretty freakin cool. Like building a team from scratch. I am still hoping to get a Eric berry card very soon

rented this tonight to just see if i would like it and have been pretty dissapointed so far. too much of the game is pretty much identical to last year. franchise mode is beyond pathetic.

I have been playing this for about two weeks now and it's ok(prefer NCAA). I have yet to try out team play though.

i take back about what i said about gus johnson a few months ago. he might be one of the most annoying commentators hired by EA to do madden. disturbing that he gets more excited about the old spice bodywash ads than the actual game your playing.

Just got a copy of this for signing up for a 2 year subscription of SI...gotta say, it is a crap game thus far, only played one game but I am severely disappointed.

Ultimite team is owning my soul right now. The last patch with this game has improved it greatly and it is a nice little change of pace from NCAA

Not too many glaring issues imo that I see with it. Its not NCAA by any means, but with good sliders, it is a pretty good game.

I rented this past Saturday to finish my fantasy draft team season. I made it to the Divisional Playoffs and lost... I have over 25 second year and rookie players, and I am still 17mil under the cap. Obviously EB29 was my number one pick.

IMO... Like I have said many many times over!! This game would explode if they would add the FULL online franchise. I want to play against others while fighting the cap and trade game. Also, if it ever happens I still think an online franchise with a fantasy draft would be killer. I would like to play a few online games but my schedule is crazy right now.

i thought it was pretty bad. just my 2 cents. the gameplay wasn't an issue or anything, but rathar the fact that they hardly did anything that improved it from 10. offline franchise mode was still very basic and lacked any sort of presentation or new features, and online franchise mode was virtually untouched as well.

that's a big issue i have with it. i don't see the point in running a team in one of these if there are no consequences for signing guys left and right. i actually think it's more fun doing these with a fantasy draft at the very beginning and building your team like that. that way, there's at least some sort of balance between everyone since everyone gets a fair shot at picking up some of the league's best players. it basically gives the game a fantasy football concept for franchise mode.

I used to love playing madden and what ever the other NFL one was a while back. But have not purchased one in a few years.
