Official Kentucky Wildcats vs. Tennessee Volunteers game thread

KY is playing well and steady, and TN is counting on big plays to compensate for subpar play. This strategy won't win the game for TN. We're lucky we're not behind right now. We'll probably have to have luck and KY turnovers to win this game unless we start playing more consistently.

Ky has done well with the underneath stuff and the runs. Waiting for a long pass or two to loosen us back up
Maybe, but they don't really have to when they are moving it like that with the dink and dunk stuff.

The bowl means more to me than the streak. It's not like a huge streak against Kentucky is all that impressive. And 25-1 in 26 years is still pretty good. And we would just start another similar streak next year. Kentucky isn't really worth a bowl game... But, just the same, I'd prefer to go to a bowl AND keep the streak.

We'll have to beat em to get to the bowl so the question of which is more important is pointless, we have to do one to get the other or we don't get anything.

This can go one of two ways...we can come out and smash them like we did Ole Miss, or we can struggle like against Vandy. Personally I'm hoping for the first.

I agree with that, but they are shooting themselves in the foot during these long drives. Look for some play action and longer passes to keep us from sitting down. Jackson and Brewer making tackles on the tailback at or near the los is an indication that our safeties are creeping.

+1 I agree with you.. We have to step it up on both sides of the ball if we want to win this game.

I'm pretty nervous that they'll find a way to actually get points out of their (almost) unstoppable offense. A first possession score could deflate the Vols if we don't counter.
Man, I hate Kentucky. There's also a player I hate on that team for personal reasons, too. Wilcox needs to find a way to stop them from moving the ball so easily.
