Actually, this is like my Friday. First day off in 15 days will be tomorrow.

No updates today though. Bedlam is going to be...bedlam.

Haha no problem. You work all week on those updates and do a darn good job at it. You going to Bedlam I imagine?

So if Gruden does indeed come to UT. I have some concerns.

1. Can he adapt to the college game?
2. He's been out coaching since 2009, has the game passed him by?
3. Does he fully understand the efforts needed to be successful in CFB and win at the level of Nick Saban. It will require 80 -100 hours of week of work during the season.
4. Can he beat Georgia, Florida, Alabama and the rest of the SEC on a regular basis?
5. Is he willing to deal with an overly zealous and rabid fan base that often have unrealistic expectations?

Only real question here is #4. If the answer there is yes, the other questions are irrelevant.

Working it.

If OSU wins and the fans storm the field (the students are planning on it) and the goal posts get torn down, look for me following one around to keep them from trying to remove them from the stadium.

BabyVol:

I had to officially join the party before this weekend. Just been laying low and sharing intel with @ChattaVol06, @Hutch 7, and a few others. Didn’t want to miss out on some excitement soon

I was on gridscape for years. @Hutch 7 can confirm.

I’ll say this...... MITbeav is not who was outed but he is very connected.... we message daily.
I never said we would get DJ Humphries but I have missed on a few who changed their minds last minute. Trust the process guys....we are way closer than in 2012.

If you guys only knew how close it was last time....that’s the only thing that has me concerned this time. It’s why I won’t be quite so over the top. If it happens I will explain exactly what went down best I can. It’s been so interesting this time!!!

I will once it’s over....but trust me there is a process to the madness. There have been things in the works for close to 5 years now

I won’t go so far as to say a 5 year timeline but the overall story dates back to 5 years ago when certain boosters got blindsided. That started a plan to make sure it didn’t happen again. Quite a bit of time, money, and resources have went in to making sure we get our guy this go round. I don’t pretend I’ll ever know everything that has led up to our next coach getting hired.....but I know enough to trust the process

is the Chosen One in Knoxville this weekend?
He is within a short drive to Neyland Stadium.

Timeline for announcement?
Let’s get thru today and then I’ll answer
Fair enough.

Hopefully it doesn't depend on the outcome of the game?
Has absolutely nothing to do with the game

BabyVol is legit. I was a member over there before joining the Grumors over here last time. He is a good dude. I wondered if he was talking this time. Good to see him around. I haven't talked to him since last time.

Folks, be prepared to support Dish Network! If dish is not your service provider, once the announcement is made, consider making the move!!! Gruden soon!!! Go Vols!

****Edit**** I forgot, Grude morning to you all! May the Grude news be forever in your favor!!!

Eh.. Ergen is a multi billionaire. I’ll recommend Dish to those who ask, but I’ll stick with Sling.

Edit: I’ve been informed Dish owns Sling. Ergen is a genius and Beav may be right. “These guys don’t miss.”

Haha awesome! I noticed you said you were following a reporter around last night. I'm assuming you're in security. Is it a side job or overtime? Just trying to figure out if you're in the same blue line business as me haha.

You were at LNC and now going to Bedlam, what do you do in Oklahoma?

I just moved from Norman back to Knoxville. I miss Torchy's tacos, Hideaway Pizza and the Garage like crazy.

5. Is he willing to deal with an overly zealous and rabid fan base that often have unrealistic expectations?

1. Is there any reason to think he can't?
2. If this was a coach that'd been sitting on his duff the last 10 years, this question would be valid. But he has been analyzing the game the past ten years and I'd dare say he's as well or more versed than most coaches in the P5 of the "game."
3. I guarantee he knows the pitfalls.
4. I'm okay with "competing and grinding out wins" with Bama, Florida and UGA on a regular basis without a lopsided W-L record. Not every game will be won. But I'm all about making them earn it if they do win.
5. A coach should expect no less than the fans.

1. Yes

2. He was quoted saying " I'm up at 4:30am every morning watching and breaking down film."

3. Yes

4. Yes

5. Yes
