That was a really good article. We might have a similar dynamic at play in our hunt for the great white whale.

I live about 40 miles from Athens and I'm surrounded, at home and at work, by hard core season ticket holding dawg fanatics.

Two years ago they hired an unproven coach with no experience and they now currently sit at #1.

The thing is, they hired the coach that the fans wanted and had been screaming for. As soon as the hire was announced, the fans were ecstatic, they sold out the spring game, and recruiting went through the roof.

The moral of the story........sometimes you need to give the fans what they want.

I’ve lived around Dawg fans, Gator fans, and Bama fans. Bama fans are definitely the worst.
