I kind of think so too. Or suspend him.

I never thought he’d be on the sideline for homecoming anyway after the crappy losses. But he’s still here. So I fully expect him to walk up and down the sideline Saturday as if he’s just won the lottery. I guess with his buyout, he has. It’ll be over soon. Soon is a relative term. Lol.

Only what I've read on here. I've been a little preoccupied...my son was named the starting QB for his college team tonight, as a freshman. The rest of this crap matters very little to me at the moment. Haven't bothered to check with anybody.

Congratulation to young Boro.... hope he does great....:rock:

They're very multiple...it's one of the reasons for making the change. He's very mobile....unlike myself. If running from wild animal, you'd definitely want me to be your partner.

That's funny right there...... "you'd definitely want me to be your partner" if being chased by an animal!!!

Wasn't meaning to challenge your thoughts, I believe you are level headed and I trust your young brain far more than my old one ... lol

No. I need to go back and find it to answer the question myself. The way my mind works is that once I have sufficient evidence to pass judgement (complete the algorithm so to speak) I move on making further assumptions based on that information being truth. Whatever he said completed the algorithm in my mind, but perhaps it shouldn't have.

Morning!

Lord, I hope we find out something today. Something good. Swain is going on this morning about people are calling about this job and he’s all excited about it. I’m just sitting here listening all “Meh” and stuff cause that don’t sound like Gruden. I’m not ready to talk about other coaches.,

Arya,
You made me spit out my coffee.
The mention of Mr.Scientology always makes me remember when he was on Oprah and had that meltdown jumping on her couch. :pepper:

Is Joe Pannunzio an option here? Would he be interested in taking this job or would he prefer to wait for something better?

Would rather have Dart Fartsmith. Anyone heard anything on him lately? He still interested in the job? Or still leaning toward the gators?

Care to explain?

Here's an article. SEC meetings: Observers will monitor head injuries from press box | SI.com

Here's the 2nd paragraph of the article:

Beginning this season, the SEC and Big Ten will have observers affiliated with neither team in each press box watching for players who appear to have suffered head injuries. “It will be someone that the conference puts there, not the institution,” Slive said. “It will give us another check if, on the field, a team doesn’t see that a player sustained a head injury.” Those observers, who will either be physicians or certified athletic trainers, will have open lines of communication to the teams’ sidelines. They’ll also have the ability to alert the officiating crew. If the player with the apparent head injury looks like he’s staying on the field for the next play, the observer can use the replay official’s equipment to alert the referee, who will then stop play until the player is taken off the field to be evaluated. Even if the player is OK, he must miss the next play or his coach must call timeout to get him back on the field.

This is my thing.

I agree here. Leaving him in charge after a possible negligence until a full investigation is undertaken, in my opinion, could bring the university into question as to failure of oversight.

I think UT has egg on our face if we don’t at least suspend him.
Would love to get some of the lawyers opinions.

Maybe.... But he's still the coach and it's his job to know. To me it's just an excuse to cover his azz

Come on! There's no way in the world for the head coach to know every detail about every player on the sideline which paying to attention to what's happening on the field.

The SEC has procedures in place which take head injuries out of coach's hands.

I've never been a big Butch fan but this is simply a witch-hunt to find ANY reason to fire him.

That would he true if the medical staff found out.

But the running accusation is that his staff willfully held information from them.

Do you think they did withhold that info?

I’m curious as to whether the staff is falling on the proverbial sword for Butch. If it’s true that BK’s backup wasn’t available, did they leave him in because they had no other option?

Not making an accusation. Just trying to understand how NO ONE knew this kid was suffering from a concussion.

I asked this yesterday and I'm not sure anyone answered. Is there a precedence set for a head coach being suspended for something like this?

You say that, but somehow even my high school coach knew if we weren’t performing right and he was essentially a one man show. ( Brent Hubbs father I might add)
Are you telling me no coaches approached the player after he failed to line up correctly to give him a chatting? His level of consciousness would have been on display right then. And no player said “ hey Kendrick ain’t right?!?”
I’m sorry but I don’t buy it.
And if it were true, I still see it as a massive lack of oversight if something that big could be missed that long.

Yes, I think they did. There is no way the medical team left him on the field with a concussion.

He either did not have a concussion, no one knew he had a concussion, or the coaches knew and didn't tell anyone.

Those are the only possible scenarios IMO.

Yep. Ammo for opposing teams recruiting as well.

If we were undefeated, we would all be screaming this from the mountaintops. But, we’re not. So we aren’t.
