Hey I've been on VN since 2010 Lost my last handle... AllVol0773 i believe it was... Couldn't remember password and didn't have access to that email either. I created this handle n 2015... I'm just really busy. Mostly don't have time to post. Although when it gets juicy on the hill I can't help myself. VN is addicting during these times...

I am starting to wane on how much Beav really knows about Gruden. He knows social dynamics and crowd manipulation. He knows some golf, financing, some boosters, but no one seems to know what Currie is thinking or Gruden.

I have no inside information. I don't know anyone in the UTAD. I have no uncles that work at Pilot or Dish. My father-in-law's mailman doesn't have a cousin who knows a guy from church blah blah blah blah blah..................

I want CJG on the sidelines at Neyland next year. A lot. I think it's at least possible. A lot of it makes perfect sense. I hope it happens.

ASSUMING the powers that be make a full court press for him, money is no object, name your price, pick your own staff with no intereference, etc. etc. and put the ball fully in his court:

If he turns us down due to not wanting to coach right now, I'd be okay.

If he turns us down to go back to the NFL, I'd be okay.

If he turns us down, and takes another college job, it would be like my first crush breaking up with me all over again.

Here’s the story: approval received for $340 million Neyland renovation. Major boosters(Centennial level) committed/pledged $60 million. Meanwhile, UTK sports performance trending down(while SEC trending up), ranked 46 nationally. In the midst of a crumbling football program(6th largest attendance last year), football generates 22% of UTAD revenue. Yet we still have this buffoon running the team. In other words, a kings palace inhabited by a vagrant. Go figure.

Well I stayed up late for an update from MIT that I guess isn't coming. I'm afraid we are screwed as a football program, just doesn't look good right now. And meanwhile Florida locks up their choice in under a week💔 Who will probably beat us for another decade and we can do this all over again.

The 60 million dollar question since Beav has alluded that all pressure will be applied is who pledged and was it at all tied to Gruden. If they had a fund raising meeting tonight following the approval I have my doubts.

Just because you did not hear anything you wanted to hear tonight does not mean good things didn't happen. Renovating the stadium does not preclude hiring a great football coach at the same time. And do any of you really think that if anything coaching related was decided tonight that it would be released at this hour? My goodness, think. It is 12:27 AM EST. No one make a major news announcement at this time of night. Good luck to you if you ever have to wait on something really important.
Soon has been said and soon is good enough for me.

I get what you are saying. But you are not one one the ones crying I want some information. Aren't we going to hear anything tonight? Boo freaking hoo. It’s becomong clearer to me the only reason why Currie was hired was for fundraising. Unfortunately, Currie, the boosters (mainly the Haslam’s), and the rest of the admin couldn’t give a s*** about fielding a good football team. In a half jokingly way, I hope the boosters pull their donations if a google coach is hired, and the AD is caught with their thumbs up their a****.
