I like Larry. I've even defended him on more than on occasion. Not that Im anyone noteworthy, just mean I like him.

I've never been sold on Gruden coming, but Larry said Blackburn was a done deal, right before they announced Currie.

Here’s what I hope for. I hope it comes out that an offer WAS made to Gruden and it WAS for 10 million/year so we can at least know TN was serious about winning this time. All I ask is that they give their all for TN they way they ask each player to do.

Exactly. Which is why the thought of Ergen pushing for Gruden makes sense. He has the most money.

I'm not debunking that. But if Haslam really only cares about control, something Ergen has never showed interest in, all he has to do is match him dollar for dollar.

And don't give me "Ergen has more money", because they both have billions of dollars. Who is more billions is irrelevant because what either of them will be donating is microscopic compared to what they actually have. So yes, even though Ergen is worth more, Haslam can still easily match him dollar for dollar if he wants to maintain his control.

In summary on TOS, Larry (LWSVOL) is calling BS on the booster fight conspiracy theory that exploded on here in detail today. When pressed by multiple posters about all the boosters pulling in the same direction and going after Gruden, he says Gruden will not happen (as he has maintained all along). When pressed again with what is the hold-up, his response was "the bride."

He's even said he's not in the loop like he used to be. That statement alone tells you he's on the AD side, and not the money side.

LWS has one of the best "insider" track records anywhere. Sadly, 99% of what he brings to the table is negative, but remains factual. My understanding is that he is in deep on the AD side.

As much as I want to believe in Beav because he spoon feeds me what I want o hear, I'm leaning more and more towards the greatest troll job in VN history- past, present, and future. I'm not even mad. Hell, I'm jealous.
