This will be a lil long do bare with me.....
I think Frost, Matt Campbell, and Mike Norvell are all in a class of the next generation of great coaches! They all having been walking the walk so to speak.
Frost has taken a winless team 2 years or so ago to 6 or 7-0 this season. Smoked Maryland on the road and beating down Memphis and also beating a good Navy team while piling up major points! Not to mention he played for Tom Osborne in college and Parcells, Belechick, and the one and only GRUDEN in the pros. And on to top that off was on staff under Chip Kelly and OC under Helfrich at Oregon. Impressive resume to say the least!
Matt Campbell has the most impressive wins this season out of all of them. Upsetting a double-digit favorite at Oklahoma (loved watching that game) and following that up taking down an undefeated TCU team, showing theyre no fluke. Guys only like 37 or 38, but has a buyout of around 10 million. Whoever gets him one would think it will be money well spent.
Lastly, Mike Norvell. I dont know as much about him, but hes a young guy too (35-36.) I know he took over for Fuente, but hes kept it going and Memphis is like 7-1 this season. Theyre a fun team to watch as well with a guy were all familiar with at QB slinging it all over. Norvells gonna be a name well known before long wherever he ends up.
Again, sorry for the long post, just wanted to put my 3 cents in on these up and coming coaches. With all the great coaches out there, these 3 mention and 4 or 5 other big names, UT HAS TO land one of these guys. Of coarse my hope is they keep their eye on the prize and make Volnation ecstatic announcing the next football coach at the University of Tennessee as John Freakin Gruden!!!!!!!
