Ok guys to sum it up..... I don’t even know this site well enough to know if somebody has responded to me, like are there notifications? But I am the absolute very best friend of JJ’s brother. I’m selling myself out on here and hope it doesn’t piss off his step dad, but I’ve done so much in life for my “brother” aka best friend I gave the speech as his best man at his wedding. JJ’s Dad played nfl ball obviously, JJ is a beast. He hasn’t quit on the Vols and never will, he’s working his @ss off to get back but is an emotional kind of teammate, I know the feeling I used to play basketball, got my nose busted open diving for a loose ball in a tie game with 20 seconds left. Nose didn’t stop bleeding for hours, had to watch my team lose. I cried not because of pain of the broken nose, but pain of not being on the court to win the game. Anyways, I know for a fact it is between Kelly and Gruden, odds are on Gruden, but Kelly is the next option. I believe from it all that it will be Gruden, but if not Kelly is Curries choice. But that would require our new chancellor to vouch for him in a “meeting” so to say for a new sec rule that’s been put in place over show causes. So since she is so new upper Admin is afraid to put her in that position. Which only leads to more of a reason to lean towards Gruden, because that would be an uncomfortable meeting for a new chancellor having to vouge for a coach with a chow cause. Anyways I’ll keep lurking around and see if there is some notification for me to know when any of you reply to me, because like I said I don’t know the site that well when it comes to posting. Banter continues at TOS and Hutch within the last few minutes states Butch is out and Gruden is done, as he will be coaching at UT, but he doesn’t know when on Gruden.

Could you post a screen shot of where Hutch says Gruden is done.

Just got caught up finally and read your post. I definitely think we're on the same page. Great summary. I would assume the last piece of the puzzle is between Haslam and the Academic Administration. I think the organized booster front came together with the withdrawal of resources threat and information campaign to induce pressure. I also agree that a few of those boosters have been working for years for this very situation in the likely event that Butch failed.

I would also assume that the meetings tomorrow and Thursday will go a long way into telling us if this deal finally is able to go through. I really think the repercussions are too great for the Academic side or Haslam to blow things up at this point. But, again, this is Tennessee.

Similar to a Chow Clause, although it lends itself to different interpretations. Some believe that Kelly has a deep affinity for that breed of dog and has requested to replace Smokey with it. Don’t hold you’re breath my info is that if butch can’t make a Bowl game this year he takes big buy out cut, plus every game takes money off. He is completely fired, Gruden would either Vol or not, Kelly will wait it out for best deal. So we shall see
