Official Jon Gruden Thread XXV

Or maybe, the gullible fans of Volnation like myself have placed so much money in Gruden happening that they had no choice but to move the line or continue to expose themselves to a massive payout in the off chance it does work out

They didn't move the line. They took the bet down completely.... But you could still be right. If all the money was coming in on Gruden and no one else, they may have taken it down to limit their exposure.

This guy is certifiable. I have tried to say it nicely but I will say it plainly now, no pun intended.

STOP LISTENING TO MIT BEAVER.

I cannot say everything I want to but I am <1% at this point Gruden will be our next coach as badly as I would love to see it happen. There is a straight up troll convention going on in this thread.

I think we can shut down hopes of Gruden now. Have always thought Beav was in it for the laughs, hence why he’s so vaguely “happy”.

My 2nd and only other choice for HC is Kelly but always thought it was a long shot, more so than Gruden.

I’ll wait around to see the fireworks of Butch’s downfall and to see if they miraculously hire Gruden/Kelly or if they choose to remain cellar dwellers in the SEC East. If it’s not Gruden or Kelly then ✌🏼 on all things UT. This administration is totally incompetent and worthless.

So does that make you a better person or more important or just an a** hole.

If he was that smart with his money he would understand investments, in turn he isn't getting back the investment he put in for those tickets. Must be nice to have money to blownlike that. Power to him.

The odds everyone has been talking about that had Gruden at +10000, then dropped to +800, +650 and +250 were from a prop bet on BetOnline. That prop bet has been taken down and replaced with one for Florida's HC.

So they are no longer taking bets on Tennessee's Head Coach.

This could mean a number of things... But it's odd they took it down before Butch has even been fired. One stipulation of the bet was that if Butch was retained, all bets would result in "no action" (meaning you get your money back). So thinking Butch might stay would be no reason to take it down.

It actually started out at +2000. I'm not sure where everyone got +10000 from.

I’ve tried to scroll back through but I can’t find anything.... what did Beaver do to make everyone turn on him?

I believe it's because he tweeted out something about flying a plane with a message on the back in front of 100,00+ vols fans to put more pressure on someone.

Which is a direct contradiction to what he was saying before that the Gruden deal was 100% done.

There'd be no need to put pressure on someone if the deal is done, as he was claiming about a week ago.

Absolutely nothing.

He comes from the booster side of the equation.

The booster's have put forth a deal that Gruden has agreed to (accord to him and at least one other).

The deal has been served up on a silver platter and the AD/AA would be foolish to turn it away and the financial repercussions from doing so would be YUGE.

That is what I have gathered from reading every post.

Soon!!

i get what your saying, there is a better way to say it though....im quite certain there are very many members on here making well over 150K a year, and just enjoy posting about the vols, not comparing how big our dicks are....

Does it really matter how much you make? Atlanta Vol and I had a discussion about how all the big money men will push you out of the way to get to the one dollar ice cream cones in the skyboxes.

I know people that live and die with the Vols and they barely scrape by. Eternal makes the trek to Neyland despite being on chemo and having rough!

Granted, the billionaires have more clout, but it does not make them any more of a fan! Just my 2 cents.

It is dead!
Just waiting on someone with 1-5 post to say.
I am a long time lurker of this Gruden thread ever since it started ect. I am fill in the blank friends or my family. And heard ect. that Gruden is done deal.
I find it amusing but mostly skimm through quickly and look at most likes and see if OV, Boro, Beaver, Bubba , VFL92 Docvol or DTO has said something and read most of Behr, coastypop, 5fingervolpunch, knucklehead, utvolinexile, VFLnSFD, and last but not least Grand Vol with daily reports. At 1st I was very skeptical of VFL92 but seems legitimate.

Over, who said it is over

Besides that, a 12 year old would have a better strategy. Gotta be trolling

it doesnt matter at all, we all VFL's, well most of us anyways

that was my point

You sound like a happy guy.

My god some of these people in here sound so angry.

I'll gladly eat crow but Beaver has completely shifted his narrative. Once a done deal, sure thing, just wait for it to now... let's fly airplanes over the stadium during the homecoming game with specific messages to "ensure" the Gruden deal.

BS

Because everyone is impatient and has not listened to the fact that there is a timeline.

If we are at the point where we need planes with banners, it's not good. Period.

The game is going on and the people involved who matter on all sides don't need a banner to change their minds. They have all the information to make their decision. If someone or some people are so steadfast that they would not be on board with Gruden, this attempt will do nothing to sway them.

Leverage. Who has it, who is using it. Leverage isn't flying a message that already exists and is understood to all parties involved. If the threat of such a thing is possible to have the desired outcome, then this whole thing smells of complete idiots and borderline crazy, if this is the ace in the hole that will change their minds it's not good.

Everyone who is involved understands all ramifications and outcomes, no message from a plane would or will change the decision which hinders the hire. Hope I'm wrong.
