Yup, but I’m telling y’all this is a very odd time for people who have always had “sources”. I have people that I would have always trusted 100% with info and they were aleays spot on. Now, some are completemy mum, and others’ info is all over the place to where I’m having trouble putting it together. The booster side is the one doing the most talking, so that is where a lot of most everyone’s info is coming from right now. Unfortunately thats the side that I’m havin trouble syncing. Good news is, I have no pressure to figure it out. My life doesnt change if I know the answer or not.

Take that to the media... they are under pressure to give you a “scoop” and I bet a lot of them are getting the information runaround.

It is partially why. I agree with you about the championships but I also know Cade thinks very highly of Butch

Don't you think that would be contradictory though? Everyone and their grandmother knows Butch will never sniff an east championship let alone a sec or national championship. So how can Mays say he wants to win a championship and he wants to go to a place where he feels like he can and be critical of UT when they want to can him? Makes no sense.

I agree with you. Only think I can think of Butch is good at selling himself to kids. Now Kevin, having been around good football and good OL coaching, has to know what Butch has got over there isn't it.

About 80% or better have no clue about whats going on at ESPN and other places in NFL. For those nay sayers I'd like to try to help you understand why he would come to UT.

1. ESPN is going broke
2. NFL is no longer watched by 1,000's cause the POS in the NFL are not greatful to the Great American Flag what it stands for and those who died for it.
3. Gruden is not having a QB Camp this year its already been waxed by ESPN due to money.
4. MNF is leaving ESPN to a diff network (Again ESPN) is going broke.
5. Cindy is from UT
6. Jon's Son goes to UT.
7 Cindy wants to move back to Tn
8. The Gruden family just bought a freaking huge house in knoxville thats not for just his son.
9 Jon said UT was his Dream Job
10. It didn't happen in 2012 cause of several reasons
10 A. Timing wasn't right
10 B. Jon had just signed a new MNF contract.
10 C. Haslam was in the way.
10 D. The money wasn't there for the Assistants.
10 E. AD at the time wouldn't give Jon the Control he wanted.
11. It's Freaking Tennessee that's why
12. This time Charlie Ergen has been working for 5 years gainnning more and more money, backing, lining up boosters, and getting ready to push the Haslams out so they stop making UT the Knoxville Browns.
13. He's Chucky.
14. He's been to the NFL already
15. The man lives and breathes UT, Hell he even has orange hair.
16 AGAIN IT"S TENNESSEE
17. TENNESSEE is the only college he would coach.
18. Unlike 2008, 2012 Gruden has not denied it one time this time and Grumors are everywhere, If he didn't want it to happen he would have already stopped the Grumors and said he didn't want the job.
19. Gruden has been in Knoxville more in the last month than he has in 5 years.
20. UTAD Plane has made several trips to Florida last couple weeks

This is all public knowledge but yet its all being kept hush hush and no one will talk about it. If I'm wrong I'm wrong I know nothing more than anyone else, but anyone can add 2 and 2

I actually don’t think this is the case. Austin Price who is very close to Mays says Mays isn’t happy with the direction of the program and specifically said Mays isn’t interested in hearing from the current staff.

You can like someone and they can be a good person (even though it appears Butch is not what he appears to be) and they can still be a crappy head football coach.

I have to ask myself why publicly decommit now? He could have continued to visit, while waiting to see who the Vols pick for their new head coach. What events have transpired since the KY game to push him over the edge? I wonder if concussion gate may have something to do with it?

I'm not positive, but Im pretty sure I remember Atlanta Vol saying Mays really does like Butch but he's loyal to UT.

I believe if we get a halfway decent coach, he'll be back.
