He was fired after the loss to Vanderbilt. I remember the Derek Dooley Show the next day. You could tell he was crying before they shot the episode. You couldn't help but feel bad for him!

Just saw this and haven't read everything. Has he checked in yet? That's too bad. I like him, at least the message board him that I've gotten to know from his posts.

Yes I get that and honestly I was very skeptical when this came up again and almost angery but I’ve bought in for the most part!

I'm ok with Butch coaching out the season if we get Gruden, but if he gets fired at the end of the season and the AD has no plan & we end up with Mike ****ing Bobo I'm gon be pisssssssssssssed off.

Other than the Cushy job, I don't see Tennessee forking over the amount of money it would take to get this guy. We have learned from the last 2 hires that Tennessee wants a diamond in the ruff, the up and comer or the next big thing.

I understand his competitive fire and maybe just maybe he doesn't want to look back one day and say "I should have given that a shot"...I guess after the last 10 years of Tennessee football, my optimism has decreased. I really hope I am wrong and if I am I will be the first to eat crow.

There were as couple of particularly bad days with the negative posts. I sometimes wonder which people I put on ignore have come around like you have. I didn't put you on ignore though.

One week ago tonight one of the greatest posters of all time made his debut.It was short lived but man I miss that dude. Grude Awakening, you the man.

I understand the thinking, but ESPN is tanking. They’re not sure theyll be able to retain MNF much longer.

I was here in 2012, hoping like Hell Gruden would be here. Booster side insiders all over the deal. AD side, nothing. This time around, again it started with booster side insiders with 'soon'. Optimism grew yet again. BUT, I held out any major hope as long as JAV and LWS were an 'absolute no way'. They've changed their tune. Its now, everyone is rowing in the same direction and Gruden makes the call. It didn't get to that point 5 years ago. The money is there. The keys to the program appears to be there. Let's cross our fingers he's ready to get in here and make IT GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL.
