What would be the benefit in this? If you already have a coach and Gruden signed.

Gruden would want it announced now to help recruiting and the early signing period.

Not necessarily to sign players for Tennessee in December. But could possibly stop players from early signing with another school.

If Gruden has agreed. He would want it announced for this reason.

It may be as simple as coaching ethics or as complicated as contractual obligations to ESPN. (or some combination)

Interesting tidbit...anderson's kid was on the trip to Aruba with Natalie Holloway when she disappeared. He made a jet available to her parents indefinitely afterwards so that they could travel back and forth easily. He also largely financially backed their search for her.

He wears a white hat.

Played ball with a guy that was in her class and was on the trip when that happened. He talked about Mr. Anderson as well. Said he was a great guy.

Would love to get Trevor Lawrence. A family member of mine works with his aunt, and apparently he loves UT and always wanted to go there when he was growing up. So I'm hoping that we pull the right hire quickly and throw him a bone. Kid is the real deal.
My Mother in law works there too. The Heartcenter in Kingsport TN.

Time to play the what if game.

What if the Gruden deal is complete but is contingent on Jones completing the season before any announcements of firing or replacement? Would you be willing to patiently wait it out? What type of information could be released to placate the fan base? Any? What would look different at this point?

What if I were to tell you...

Trey Wallace says 60-70 % chance Gruden will be the HC at UT next year. Says the money is there and there will never be a better time than now

Fox Sports Radio (I know) but I had to tune in to see what he said

I understand this and can be the case for not announcing Gruden.

But if Gruden is your coach and you have an agreement.

I would see Gruden wanting Butch gone now as a contgent to him coming to Tennessee.

Tennessee is a dumpster fire right now from the top down.
A good coach signed would want that fire put out ASAP

I do think he is here next year. Too much smoke around. More than 2012. And it has been discussed at nausim but different clan of boosters heading up the charge to get him this time.

I listened also.
The guy didn’t sound like a wacko.
Knew our situation very well.
He’s the one that broke the Kendrick concussion story.
Here’s his web site.

He claims his sources are 100%, he did break all the Florida stories and the Brett Kendrick story. He said UT has reached out to him and told him he will never receive press passes lol. He said that Currie has been communicating to Gruden through back channels and the money is right for Gruden. Also said Gruden went back to Currie and said the money is right now here's what I need.

This guy is very legit. He also broke the story of the Florida players being suspended for the credit card scam.

The training center is named after the Anderson family. Two couples with the last name Anderson. I’m assuming the guys are brothers or something. Google “Anderson training center” and the UT link talks about them.

Terry is the other brother. TNT Fieworks. Son also played at UT. Younger son is Keaton Anderson at Bama. Sorry if already answered

I agree. That's what makes sense to me also. That's why I said in an earlier post that I think TN has gone back to Gruden and asked him to adjust his time table because of the way the season is playing out. (Worse than anyone had anticipated.)

I just think the best situation would be for Butch and Currie to come out and say he is resigning at the end of the season. BJ may be waiting to land another job first though too

My point is that it makes absolutely 0 sense to not tell a VFL like Kevin "hey, no need to let your 5 star son legacy recruit de-commit because something big is being done for the program."

Mays is a huge part of the class and what he's done to recruit others to it, you do what it takes to keep him on board and there's not a single logical reason that Gruden, if he were a done deal, wouldn't see it that way too.
Unless they May's are friends with the Jones??
