Well, I'm not literally on the ledge. I don't have a gun in my mouth. I don't have a razor to my wrist.

But I am invested enough to be mad. I feel that as a fan, I'm allowed to be mad.

Meh is around the corner.

i've been meh for a little while.
meh=apathy

the next step after apathy is .... :gone:

Well there you go....

where you been, what took you so long to come in here after all this time, and why wait till we have wasted 29 threads and hundreds of thousands of posts....

Gee, some friend you turned out to be:banghead2:

Brent Hubbs has confirmed that butch is calling around and asking for support from boosters. Saying injuries has not allowed this team to show its full potential.

I want to throw up. If butch was gone already why would Hubbs be confirming that butch is asking for one more year? I think he realizes he can’t get another P5 job.

This doesn't necessarily mean he hasn't been told. It actually seems more like he has... Because why else would he be making a last ditch effort by reaching out to boosters? If he hasn't been told, why would he need to do this?

If he's calling boosters, that probably means he HAS been told.. and is now trying to get boosters to lobby for him.

Him reaching outside the AD for support tells you that he has run out of support inside the AD.

Just curious, would you like to see him here or are you wanting someone else?

I really don't have an opinion on him. As an announcer, i HATE him, but as a coach, i don't know. I know that kids like him, they like his QB Camp and it seems he could win the press conference.

So, i'm 50/50 on his ability to succeed. but from the Business perspective, i wouldn't quit my "no-pressure 6.5M a year job" to go back to "high-pressure 10M job". I just wouldn't do it. that's why I conclude, he's not coming here.

I won't burn mattresses if he comes and I won't burn mattresses if he doesn't.

I'm realistic

I'm pretty sure he is a EE. Don't want to be all negative but my feelings are IF he officially decomitted then we won't get him back. He's seen something he likes more somewhere else. He was at UGA this past weekend. I pray he doesn't go there.

Like you, I fear he is going to commit to UGA. Once he does, we won't get him back. I am sad and frustrated about him more than any other 2018 recruit...

This answers a lot of questions.

It ain't Zen philosophy.

Jones has tainted himself by allowing the team to tank this year. Everyone sees his complete GAF attitude at the moment and that translates over to his marketability. Which, at the moment, is likely hovering somewhere in the negative numbers. Hence, being the last kid waiting to be picked at kickball.

So, faced with either sitting out a year or pleading for his job, he's (likely) going to pick the latter.

Came across an interesting conversation while I was sitting at the restaurant bar here in chattanooga. I ordered a drink and the guy next to me said what are we drinking to today”” I responded with that TN will be great again. He laughed and he said I think you’ll be happy to know that butch is gone. (He was wearing a UT shirt so I thought it appropriate) I said what makes you think that? He responds with the owner of Hullco company is close to fulmer who knows what’s going on in this search. Said he golfs with matt and feels great about UTs future. I decided to ask about lastest on butch calling for support, he said if that’s true he hasn’t heard but no way in hell does he come back. I was pretty pumped to hear such a confident statement. This guy is a good 15 years older than me and a fan so was not trolling.

Now none of this is breaking news but made me feel better to hear it from another person. Maybe someone can confirm about matt being close with fulmer (owner of hullco).

The irony;

Told you lack responsibility. Point to someone else.
We didn't hand out the participation trophies to ourselves.

Every generation has looked down on the next. Baby boomers did to Gen X, Gen X to Millennials, and Millennials will to Gen Z. The irony is that each generation complains about the generation that they have raised.

Most know it's nothing right? There really can't be any that hold this thought truthfully. Sometimes I wonder....

Quite a rock solid stance for coming in here and stirring up shizzle...
