According to Kress, the guy said that it looked like they were going to get killed if Gruden is hired at UT because almost all of the money that has come in is on Gruden. No one is putting money on any other coaches. That's why you saw such a precipitous drop in the line, and a corresponding bump for the other coaches.

Small detail, but I think a good indication of where we are at with our man. :)

Yes, that is basic bookie work. They dont know shiz, just in the work of balancing risk and maximizing vig.

Likely a "thin market" though. Doubt many people are betting such an uncertain outcome.

Catching up on this thread. Still have 7 pages to go. While laying in bed my wife (USCe grad, she loves the .... well you know) said what are you going to do when they hire someone other than Gruden.

I told her.

So the rumor from Jon Reed is that CJG wants to talk things over with his family and consider the impact him taking the job could have on them if things turn south. I just don’t see the fans ever turning on him, even if it didn’t work out the way we all envision. I know I would just be happy we finally laid it all out there and committed to winning. That’s all I ask for from this administration.

Off topic, but no way I’m going out in the other threads and don’t wanna start a new one....

Does anyone know if butch’s Cincy teams had lots of injuries as consistently as the teams he’s had here?
