Some are suggesting/guessing/inferring that Currie likes to make fires/hires relatively close together.
Some information has been given that, with JG being the founder of the Fired Football Coaches Club, he wouldn't want to be associated with going behind a sitting coaches back to take their job (even though we all know Butch has been "fired", it just isn't public).
How does a scenario play out (if said information is true) where Butch is let go/resigns, and within a week, JG is hired? It is very rare that a coach is hired that quickly (look how long this process is taking, though it isn't "out in the open")
Wouldn't that look suspect to the national scene and lend to speculation that Gruden was working behind the scenes to take the job, thus, hurting his image/mission with his club?
Not that it matters b/c he will be busy putting UT back on the map, but I'm bored and work is not that appealing today.
