If it were me, I would fire Sunday. Own the news cycle Sunday, Monday, Tuesday then announce Gruden. Own the rest of the news week through next weekend.

IF the decision has been made to replace Butch...and IF Gruden or another hire is in the bag...then there is no reason to wait. Butch should be fired on Sunday and Gruden announced on Monday or Tuesday so he and staff can get out in front of the early signing period.

There is no reason for either party to wait beyond this week IF a deal has been made.

I've said it before, but I firmly believe that if Butch is on the sidelines at home next Saturday, it spells disaster for this program.

I've watched too many Gruden videos recently, in getting all excited for the FOOTBALL discussion he will bring. Who will be on his staff? How is he going to run practice? What are recruits going to say about the experience? How will he break down our games?

No more weak cliches or slogans. Give me a damn FOOTBALL guy to coach my football team. Then we can have something to really talk about!

A lot of people aren't realizing that there very well could be some things to work out with ESPN still. He's still an employee with them, and I dare to say he'll finish out the last few weeks of MNF. Plus I'm sure ESPN wants to break the news about their golden boy taking a coaching job.

I'm not saying it's an issue, but it may complicate (delay) an announcement when the time comes.

Agreed. I just hope it's done before Monday so there's no more Butch Monday pressers.

Thank you my friend..... I am all good :good!:.... In the beginning I adjusted my percentages upward based on what Beaver was saying..... Atlanta Vol said his was 65-70% sure of the deal... I am good with that....

I then began to actually READ what Beaver was posting and The more he posted the less I trusted him....
my percentages have changed based on that and are close to or just under what Atlanta Vol said he was.

I just do NOT trust people who are saying 100% ... there are to many moving parts for anyone to be 100%.

If we don't hurry and hire Gruden, my husband is going to divorce me. I literally just finished fixing his late lunch( 12:45). And it was something that only took 5 minutes to fix, fried eggs, and ham. I told him I have to get back to reading before I get to far behind.

Agreed. Untill he is at the podium with an orange tie on nobody should be near 100%.
