Nah....we are lucky to have passionate fans like yourself and everyone else here.

We simply want to be in a position to compete...and it has been quite a while since that has been the case. I am ready to spend what i have to get us back there...and I can assure you there are other folks with the resources to do so that are in the same boat. The problem is when some of those people who give those resources expect and sometime demand to be involved in all the major decisions. That only works when there is 1 person making the calls.......too many cooks in the kitchen is a great saying...and one that holds true in university athletic programs.

Will you kindly do me a favor?
Will you tell Haslam, or whoever it is that needs to get out of the way, that preacherwebb is going to put them on the list?

I think that's what makes Peyton important now. He can corral the cooks b/c of the respect they all have for him and put a goal in front of them we might get something done. In my outsider opinion anyways

Let me say this first of all. With the exception of a few on here who are just trolling most people are getting info from 3rd parties. I certainly doubt anyone here is looking Currie in the eye and getting the information directly from him. Obviously, we all trust our sources and since many are saying different things then someone is obviously wrong. If that person is me (and I hope it is) then I will admit my source was wrong. I'm not on here to mislead or bait anyone. I'd love for Gruden to be coach and I certainly want Butch gone. So this isn't a competition for me. Guess we will see...

This is a weak attempt at a gotcha. The logic doesn't hold water. I can verify the identity of a lot of people but I can't say for certain that everything they tell me is true.

Which is the point, I think. It's not my plan to attempt a "gotcha". But many hear have hung on Beaver's every word, simply because Atlanta had "verified" him. But just because he verified that Beaver plays a lot of golf and is filthy rich and connected, doesn't mean all of his info is correct. I find it interesting that Atlanta is giving it a 65% chance and yet he's the sole reason many are so bought into Beaver.

From my perspective I put my odds at JG coming at 65-70%. I don’t think it is a done deal per se like MIT does....but i could certainly be wrong...I Had multiple smoke screens thrown my way throughout the week. Earlier in the week i was 50/50 but man there is so much pointing to this thing getting done and the right people to get it done being involved that I feel like it will be a total collapse on our side if it falls through. So I am hopeful...and let me also be clear. In the event i got word that this deal was 100% done before it was announced I would never give that out in this forum...not my place to do that and certainly there are some things you just let play out....and I have a role with this university that I don’t want to jeapordize So enjoy the ride..

In regards to butch...that ship sailed...I didn’t however hear anything in regards to this timing i have been seeing after the KY game. I also haven’t really asked that question though. My focus and attention has been ensuring the program know where i stand on the current situation and also trying to help keep some of these recruits at bay while the ship is falling apart if that makes sense.

Why don't you stop being lazy and do some research on Gruden? And not the first 12 lines of a Google search but some REAL research.

Like how screwed up the salary cap situation was in Tampa when he took over? And how it handcuffed him from making the changes to the team that he needed to.

Or how he increased the points scored by the Bucs offense in the playoffs by over 10 points. And how he took that same team that Dungy couldn't even win a playoff game with and won the super bowl with said team.

You know that's the truest definition of a good coach right? Beat you with his and then take yours and beat you with them too. That's what he did.

How he put up with Al Davis crazy ass and still built a super bowl quality team?

How he has won his division 6 times.

Now.. factor in that there are no, zero, nada gimme games in the NFL, his record is above average.

So continue to regurgitate the same old crap and show us how really limited your knowledge is like the 100 or so before you, or go read a bit and come back with a real arguement.
