According to J Majors, Fulmer went behind his back and talked the AD into firing him and hiring Fulmer

IIRC Majors only coach one or two games after he came back from heart surgery :hi:

Plus Gruden wad just an assistant at Green Bay in 1992. Not ready for head coach at that time.

The Grude was not a Coordinator until 1995 not a head coach until 1998. Would not have been a candidate in the Majors/Fulmer transition era. This is simple Wikipedia **** that people could easily check themselves.

I think people are just panicking because there hasn't been much new information lately so they've convinced themselves that everyone is a troll and its all over.

Has real connections to boosters and their cash
Has leaked too specific info to be a standard troll
Has not been silenced by those boosters and their cash
Other boosters have corroborated

Is only telling one side of a two part equation

He claims the guy has a realtor looking for a place. Says he no where near ready to sign a contract on a house though. Said he was contacted in 2012 also but it didn't get as far as this time. Said this time they've even discussed/agreed upon general numbers. Wouldn't say whether he's an ex UT player or just from Knoxville.

I have no agenda. I want Gruden to be our next coach just as bad as anyone else. I am tired of our program being mired in mediocrity. I am ready to win big yesterday! I just think VFL92 has a very good point about why Beaver feels he needs to continue coming back with “nuggets”. I hope Beaver is as legit as there is. Trust me...I’ve been in the RF (where I usually stay) pumping Gruden as much as anyone.

I agree with others. It is my feeling on MIT and doesnt have to be others’ feeling. We are all free to believe what we want. While I have always followed these threads (even in last coaching search), I didnt really engage. What I have learned in the last couple of days is important. Many of us come into this thread thinking it is a pure discussion for “to gruden or not to gruden” but I have seen that this thread has become something different and has its own personality. I think when people come here with opposite opinion/info, they think that they are helping to keep fellow Vol fans from a big let down. Some are true asshats trying to stir the pot but others are just trying to help. What I’ve learned is that most of you full-grude still have a healthy skepticism and are here having fun rooting for Gruden..but not blind to the idea it may not happen. I now get the spirit of the board and think y’alls banter, optimism, and free spirit is awesome. I have lines from many places: former players, ad office, and substantial boosters but I dont go begging these people for info because I’ve learned that me knowing info doesnt change the final outcome and I respect their willingness to share with me. When I see them we talk about it, but in the last few days if they’ve told me something anti-gruden I dont share it here anymore because I dont think its rlevant to what happens in here. I’ll continue to be skeptical but I am enjoying this party and want Gruden just like the rest of you.
This is by far the coolest place on the internet right now.
