Google “Gruden preparing for coaching comeback”
Here are some highlights from the article posted in July of this year.

“'I’m preparing to come back' to coaching ... when right NFL job arises”

Gruden said he’s had opportunities to return, but he’s just holding out for the perfect fit. However, he ruled out coaching in college, joking: “I would probably have you on probation within four or five weeks,” because of all the recruiting and NCAA rule challenges.

This man is not coming here. Why you all want him I’m not even sure. I don’t care say all you want say I’m clueless, negavol, blah blah blah, however I’m only interested in coaches who want to be HERE, and want to coach COLLGE football, you guys act like this guy invented football. Flame away I don’t give a rats ass

JAV is on the TOS throwing out just random coaches name including the coach at morehead st.... he’s not responding to Gruden smoke questions but replying to other people asking about those lame duck coaches schemes. I think he knows and is intentionally keeping talk away from it.

SOON!

Y'alls dum. You ain't gittin no Gruden. Kiffen is the best dang coach y'all cud hope to git. Him or Mullen.

Ok. Maybe they aren't that rube-ish and maybe I took liberties with the spelling, but that's my best impression of the NegaGrudes.

pretty accurate

It’s people like you who’ve made TN what it is: mediocre. You can’t see the big picture. You just want to get another coach and roll with him for 3-5 years and believe it’s all about the X’s and O’s.

It’s bigger than that. We have an institutional cultural of settling for mediocrity. Doug Dickey was AD for 20+ years. Between Majors and Fulmer we had 2 coaches over 25 years. Not to mention the president and chancellor were all on board and understood that football made everything else great. And somehow, over the past 10 years, we’ve become “just another university” with no identity, no leadership, no purpose and no vision. Hiring Gruden is a message to the the students, faculty, players and fans that TN is coming back to its roots. TN isn’t accepting average anymore and it will all begin with the growing the flagship program back to its proper place, on top.

THATS what hiring Gruden will bring.

Chills........nicely said :clapping:

Look, man. You have the right to your opinion. But we've heard this over and over and over. You're not going to change anyone's minds here. We have full Grude-ons here-yeah and I'm a girl!

There's a great big forum out there full of like minded *individuals* such as yourself. I suggest you go and hang with them. You're not going to have a fun time here.

Being a douche 😂😂 because I’m not sucking Grudens D like all you other fools.

I’m here hoping to see some closure on this and move on to a real coaching search not a bunch of nonsense.

It’s the Gruden thread my man. If you don’t like the material, you don’t have to hang out here. Now close the door on your way out

Dude,.... whoa, whoa, whoa. You are a little late to the party. It's gonna happen. Please read before posting.

I mean we're like in goose bump stage at this point.

I can’t help but laugh at all of you. It’s daily comedy. Never seen someone so obsessed with another man in my life. It’s comical

Want to know what else is comical? Someone taking time out of their insanely busy schedule to come to a thread full of people they disagree with, take time to catch up, and post multiple comments saying why those people are stupid and wrong. Seems like a great use of time.

THAT is comical.
