Had a sick kid last 24 so somebody fill me in on latest. Looks like MIT is back? Thought he said he was gone for good? What is the faux gmail and or twitter exchange between ATL & MIT that another poster referenced?

A couple of insiders (AV being one) were trying to get in contact with one another to compare notes. And see if they were talking to the same person regarding their source.

No butt fumbles drawn up there

Has there been one confident person who has some contact with the AD? It does appear to be all boosters and that does cause concern. And I might have missed it, but is Haslam helping here or is he the problem?

I believe they have always been cheap with coaching backing. They have donated tons to the University which is different which helps reputation and taxation relief. The coaching thing in my observations, the Haslams aren't as vested as other major boosters with coaches across the country at power Schools. Now I think it's worse that the Haslams own the Cleveland Browns. Their first priority being the revenue builder and the University of Tennessee football success secondary. So I feel if we are going to get financial backing then Thunder Thornton is more fanatical and likely to provide more money to eliminate the current coaches and make the big replacement backing.

I wonder if Gruden will keep any of the 4 plays out of Butch's offense playbook? Just for continuities sake.

Might keep run up the middle left or run up the middle right.

Will probably modify the flea flicker to have receivers actually go out for a pass.

Hyams actually talked about it a few weeks back. Said Gruden in 2012 was definately in play with an offer and Hart didn't want to give him the money he was asking for assistants.

I've heard this a lot. I think it really bodes well for us if true. Coaching salaries have skyrocketed in recent years. In 2012, Saban was getting around $5.9MM. This year, his salary is over $11MM.

This is what boosters see. If we had signed a successful coach in 2012, it wouldn't matter if it had been for the highest amount in the nation--it would have been a steal by today's standards. If it's true that we honeydicked ourselves out of Gruden because we wouldn't shell over enough for assistants, I expect businessmen to understand that paying out now is better than taking another gamble.

His base is not 11 mil, he had a signing bonus for extension.

Any update on the old Haslam house?

Unfortunately not, my actual work day took up too much time to make the call before it was too late in the day to be respectful... will give it a go in the AM.

Although, it sounds like people are not doubting that he is indeed looking at houses/moving here — but some think that doesn’t mean he coaches here? I’m still trying to catch up, LOL
