Correct...Georgia fired a yearly 10 game winner and UT fans are the problem???

Note: Richt has been at UGA, what, a decade? It’s not like he was in year 3. It’s hard to spin that narrative in a way that it wasn’t time to move on and try something new that was better for both parties.

They also got their #1 choice as a replacement, and he went to his alma mater.

Chris Low goes on Nashville radio and talks about how Tn.is not a top sec job and fan expectations are unreasonible but yet reminds everybody he was there during the glory years.Tn. is the second winningest program in the sec,has one of the biggest recruiting budget in the country, facilities second to none,100k+ stadium and yet we are second tier when it comes to jobs? Maybe this time we can suprise some of these so-called realist and get a coach to carry us back to the promise land.

Fan base is not the problem.

No great coach will come under this administration!!!

They had to clean house in Bama to get Saban, had nothing to do with their fan base.

Our administration is telling us to be happy after the Dooley years.

Our fans have been patient and it's time to cut off the money flow, from the fans.

I agree 100%.. they just have to have something to pin it on.

Give is a good coach and see how mean we are. We would fill that stadium and then some. Think they are a profitable program now? We could probably double that amount of they hire someone to make us relevant again.

Don’t misunderstand what I am saying...I am defending us UT fans. Our team is 3-4 and 0-4 in the SEC after 5 years! Richt win 10 games per year, ran a clean program, and stayed out of the NCAA’s doghouse...then he got fired. At this point, our fan base would love to win 10 games.

Seat is hot and fans will be calling for his head. A terrible FSU team is on the schedule as well. Not looking good for the swamp donkey

McElwain will get at least one more year, if not a couple more. Back to back East titles in his first two years is doing pretty good, regardless of how bad the division is

This is a new administration. New president. New AD.

Well, does anyone know how currie handles a coaches firing? Will it be before the Monday 12oclock presser or will he wait till the end of the year. I guess I just need to know our AD tendency on doing his job.

Article above states he fired the bball coach on a press conference on Sunday.

This is what my insider says...

If Butch runs the table except for the LSU game, then he will be the Vols HC coach in 2018.

BS ,even though Butch isn't winning out. It will be career suicide for Currie if he went this route. Season tickets will drop off bigly and it will cost UT more to keep him than it would be to fire him. But it would not surprise me at all if Butch isn't fired. I am not convinced that UT cares about winning anymore but we are getting ready to find out.

I just think you’re mixing two unrelated paradigms.

Another school can decide to part ways with their coach and it have nothing to do with the perception of UT and it’s fans.

I’ve tried to communicate this on here for years, but whether it’s true, or even fair, to some in the rather small coaching fraternity, or even smaller agent fraternity, UT apparently has a troubling reputation as having fans that are an issue, to put it mildly. And yes, that issue is perceived as being as an outlier among even other big time programs. We might not have the reputation as being the worst, but it isn’t good.

Know how to fix that?

Depends on margin. Combine a loss to FSU and we both will have new coaches in 2018

But you said after Saturday, because they were impatient.

Now don’t try to become pedantic and claim that any date after Saturday is technically after Saturday.

But regardless, you’re saying they’re looking for a new coach for next season?

Call your shot. Lock it in.

Don’t y’all realize Beaver is gonna come back after “golfing in LA” with some bs to back up what our trusted people have already said? My money is on him comes back with some boo hoo about it all falling through.

It could never "fall through" because it never was. The whole Gruden thing is like Bigfoot living on Venus. A nice thought for the gullible and children.
