Larry Smith. Retired. Be 70 in December. Worked in IT for 48 years with 3 different companies in Nashville. Now golf 3-4 times per week and live in Mount Juliet.

Been a member of the Tennessee Fund since its inception in 1986. A donor.

Have 14 season tickets in Section B. All about the 35 yard line. Have had season tickets since 1976.

Know many people in the athletic department. Don't talk with as much anymore as I did even 5 years ago. Over the 50 years (starting going in 1965) I have been going to UT games I have made hundreds of friends that are fans of Tennessee and much closer to many in the athletic department than even I am. That is the reason I don't have to stay plugged into the AD as much anymore. I rarely have to call people for information. Lot of people contact me and keep me up to date.

I have many friends in the media. Hubbs, Lewis, Brice, Rucker, Low, Callahan to name a few. Have known most several years and some a decade or more.

Was close with Coach Fulmer and assistants on his staff for several years. Still communicate with coach. Know many players and their families going back to the early 90s. Stay in contact with many.

I never post anything from a single source. Has to be more than one and those sources independent of each other. I have posted things in the last 20 years that UT has called me about. Multiple times. Stuff they didn't like.

If Currie is really waiting to reduce buyout money and that's the reason for not firing Butch, he needs to think about 1 thing and 1 thing only. The state of the program. Currently UT is 1 of only 2 schools that can claim they've never had less than a 5 win season. That is seriously in jeopardy right now. Is saving a couple million in buyout money worth losing that historic feat? To most of us the answer is no. He seriously needs to consider that. It trumps all reasons for hanging on to Butch at this point imo.

I thought it was a 4 win? I think that's what we'd posted on Twitter.

I don't think a Butch Jones coached Tennessee is capable of beating anybody right now, including Southern Miss. We are fielding a really bad, very poorly coached football team.

No kidding man. I question people who think we can win out. 108yrds of TOTAL offense yesterday. We literally have 4 plays we run. Receivers didnt know we were running a flea flicker! And this began against UMASS not Ga. This is the worst offense I’ve ever witnessed at TN.

As I stated yesterday, the info LWS brought sounds suspiciously like a canary trap. Specific info given to specific person (or persons) in order to track down leaks. The rationale of "he doesn't want to break friendships or possibly lose" just doesn't wash with a lot of people. But it is easily identifiable if/when it got out in public.

We are talking about an AD that went as far as to use fax machines outside the university to push correspondence. So, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see little tricks like this being used to figure out who's talking outside of class and who isn't.

Not dismissing anyone's information here, but the reasoning just didn't strike me as what a person who won a Super Bowl would be thinking.

Don't know LWS...and DTO and I have spoken. We just haven't heard the same stuff lately. He may be completely correct, but nobody I've talked to says anything similar. I'm simply in the wait and see mode like everyone else. I think it's obvious, having stepped back for a couple of days that there is a lot of misinformation floating around....you just don't know whose.

Definitely misinformation out there... my hope is even if Gruden said no yesterday that we don?t move on but keep swinging. After all he said no a few days earlier and then came back for some reason.

I keep saying to myself, how many times did Saban say no to Bama but look where he is coaching right now.
