When you live it over and over, you're forced to develop a sense of humor about it or you go insane. I've lost so much that I care about, and I haven't touched heroin in over 5 years. So here we are.

Good for you, keep it up, it's a day by day journey but you can do it. And I agree about the humor, I thought 2 years of patching folks up in Irag/Afghanistan would have harden me enough. I have seen worse s**t stateside that I thought I would. We have to laugh and joke about inappropriate subjects all the time just to keep from screaming.

If you were in the ME, I have a tremendous ammount of respect for you. Besides the heroin, and reliance on petroleum, the region kind of took hold of my life, and kicked my ass in an unexpected way. Wish **** over there was changing faster than it is.
