You know I've been thinking about that first "rally the troops" meeting that we've been told happened after the Georgia game, where Peyton supposedly got all the power players on the same page.

We know Peyton has a relationship with Gruden, right? Just stands to reason that it wasn't like Peyton said "Idk if he'd be game for it but we need to try".

To me I see a more likely scenario where Peyton kind of knew there would be significant mutual interest from Gruden and said to the group "if everyone would come together on this, we can make this happen"

Just guessing of course, but I don't think Gruden was blindsided at all. Just maybe Peyton had already been working him.

I would love for that to be the case, just to add to the reasons why Peyton is a boss.

This plan was not newly hatched. Anyone who should have had a list with names, did. They weren't random, and they weren't unaware that they were on the list.

Nobody was really blindsided with the direction this season took, and there was no scrambling for a solution.

I see day shift is mostly present and accounted for. Let's have a productive day. Need to knock out at least 3 more news worthy grumors and bash 2 trolls into submission.

It would be awesome if the fan base started a Gruden chant at Bryant Denny when we are down by 4 touchdowns.

This is why revelations like "they were looking at houses before the fl game" and "his trip to Knoxville was planned long before the GA game" don't phase me. Anyone watching our implosion at the end of last season knew that his days were numbered.

Hard to be blind sided by stuff, when it's been a work in progress since 5 years ago.
