If I had a flesh eating disease on my left hand and I could start the treatment today to stop the spread of the disease, why would I wait a week before I did anything to save my arm. I'm losing the hand regardless of if I start treatment now or if wait a week.

I'd rather take my chances with Hoke as the interim HC. The team might rally around each other and actually put up a fight. Because you saw today what butch is going to do next week.
