The OP is pretty close. I'll just echo what VolBrian said. There will be an offer made that virtually any coach (not named Saban or Belichik) would not be able to say no to. That said, I'll believe that he will come here when the ink is dry. I do know that there are excellent options that will be pursued if Jon doesn't become a reality.

I'm not trying to be evasive or vague at all so please don't take it that way. The 2 names that I know will be seriously pursued, I just don't want to say out of respect for both of them and those who are involved. I will say that both of them would bring their own seismic boom as well. Not Chucky big but both are great football coaches.

Just found out his nephew is a 5th year senior for University of Dayton Flyers. Just a few hours up I-75. Another reason to come to Knoxville

Caught the MNF guys rolling through this morning. As I passed the truck I looked over and was surprised to see Gruden driving.

He noticed my TN polo, smiled, gave a tug on the horn and mouthed the word "soon" to me. :loco:

What point am I making? What point are you making by bringing up the nonsense you did? I said "I can look back and see some positives." Not that I support them or will be sad when they are in the rear view mirror.

You brought up the fact Dooley's players had sexual assault complaints brought against them. I provided the lie to that statement with facts. Now, if you want to go ten rounds with me over positives and negatives of the past coaches, I'll be more than happy to prove you wrong at every turn.

Wait, you proved that Dooley's players didn't sexually asault? You need to go into lawyering.

For all three years that Dooley was here, we were fed lie after lie about how Dooley was remaking the program with high character guys. A supposed turnabout from the Fulmer and Lane days. It turned out to be nonsense. So, yes, I guess you did "provide the lie" to that statement (in that you made it up and then provided it).

Amazing how bitter many are, so much that they act like its a sin to admit Butch did a few positive things. If you mention anything positive whatsoever, it means you want him to stay.
