I wandered outside of the Gruden thread ... man people are hostile!
I don't need a safespace or anything, but man the Gruden thread feels like home.

It's amazing to me that there are people on this site, that (if we land Gruden), want him to fail, just so they can say, "I told you so." At least that's how it seems.

Either he's the next coach at UT or he ain't, but to hope he fails is childish to me.

Anywho, I sure do hope Gruden is our next coach.

I have never wanted a coach to fail at UT. I did not like dookey as coach at all. I was hopefull jones could do good here. I think he is a good guy but just over his head here in the sec. i do wish him well wherever he ends up

And then got fired two years later because he caught lightning in a bottle with another coach's players.

Except he didn't. He was fired 6 years later after a second consecutive 9 and 7 season.

Also, he played the team that he built, the Oakland Raiders, in the Super Bowl in 2002. So... there's that too.

I know some have said you can’t fire/hire based on the recruiting class coming in but what about the kids on the team now?? I’m 40 and a child of the 90’s so consider me spoiled but does anyone older than me remember a team lacking the leadership, identity and fight of this team? I know Dooleys last team quit but was the locker room as bad as this one?

Daniel Hood recently said that out of 100 people in the locker room, 99 of them were feeling pretty great the day Dave Hart came in and told them Dooley was fired.

I'd guess that similar will happen when Butch if finally done.

Barb must have been in the locker room when it happened.

I know what you mean. Crazy ain't it?

While I love the Grumors, a part of JAV's post disturbs me. It's the part regarding everyone wouldn't be on board with a Chip Kelly hire. If true, this tells me there is still an unacceptable level of meddling going on from certain parties and that Currie is still hanstrung to some extent. So it's Gruden or mid-major redux....

Fortunately....Soon.
