Visit any other thread about coaching prospects and it’s a slobber fest over MAC level newbies. We have been diminished to hoping for average and believing for horrible.

I can speculate but don't know for sure. I've heard that they want to wait as long as possible to avoid complicating the issue with an interim coach. I'd be willing to bet (minus a huge meltdown Vs SoCar) that it won't happen before Bama. After that becomes a timing issue.
I thought before the season CBJ would get next year. And based that off of the thoughts of people that wish they didn't know me. Now, based off those same people, I'd be surprised if he makes it to the Vandy game.

Been meaning to ask. Have you heard had bad the fallout was for the uga game? Pretty much all the heavy hitters were there and they couldn't have been happy. Only ask cause Manning has never came off, to me anyway, as a take charge leader among powers that be. Not questioning your info cause it's past time for this to happen.

Bad. The powwow with Currie Saturday night was pretty heated I think.

The Sunday meeting allowed cooler heads to prevail.

Can someone just send a moving truck over to Butch's house already.

I wanted to fill out a craigslist ad looking for a new coach, and still may if I can figure out how to pay the $25 without my wife knowing.

Booster control/access was a major sticking point before. Alabama cleaned that out for Saban who informed them in no uncertain terms it wasn't acceptable. We must do the same. As of now there are a handful of boosters who pretty much call up the head coach after the game and give him "advice". It's generally not something a strong willed coach wants do deal with, and wasn't something UT was willing to let go of before.

It's not an issue this time for the right coach. Neither is the Thornton Center.

Thanks for the info boro.

I kinda figured it wasn't good. I hope it's truly opened their eyes about not going big on the next hire. Which it's certainly sounds like it has.
