Back to work for me today. It's overcast and cool here this morning. I shivered until I read the word of Gruden this morning. The warmth of his words washed over me and I shivered no more.

And now I go forth into the day as a lion among the other beasts of this world, paying them no heed as they nip at my heels and sling insults at my Gruden ways.

Have a great day fellow Grudenites!

It's great yoyo have the Gruden thread back, absolutely the greatest entertainment in VN.The most reliable news source in sports. Thanks VN.

Bad idea. Don’t mix family and business. What would happen if he ended up needing to be fired?

Plus the rock will suit us fine

I'm not so sure about that. We look soft. That being said he hasn't had a full year and conditioning takes time.

Gruden would never need to fired, perhaps offered the governors house but not fired

Then that proves that they aren't doing their job. I have worked with family and never had a problem. The only time it is a problem is when one is lazy and don't want to do their job. Other than that there should be no problem. You have to be able to separate your job and family

Why does everyone thinks Jon Gruden will be the savior for TN football. As far as I know he's never been a head coach in the SEC. He makes a little over 6 Million per year working for the liberal left wing network known as ESPN. I just hope TN does not make another mistake by hiring someone who has never coached in the SEC. Now this man has. He served as head coach at Louisiana State University from 2005 to 2016 and at Oklahoma State University from 2001 to 2004. Miles is nicknamed "The Hat" for his signature white cap, as well as "The Mad Hatter" for his eccentricities and play-calling habits.[1] Prior to being a head coach, he was an assistant coach at Oklahoma State as well as at the University of Michigan, the University of Colorado at Boulder, and with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). Miles led the 2007 LSU Tigers football team to a win in the BCS National Championship Game against Ohio State, 38–24. "I want you to know something," Miles said last October. "I have 10 or 12 years left in me. There's plenty of energy in this body. I'm not a guy who lends himself to excesses, and I have great health. Let's go find us a place where the school wants to invest and win. And I say, 'Let's go!'' “I want to coach football," he said. "That’s pretty simple. I want an opportunity at a place that can win and a place where they really want to invest in the players. If they do that, I’m good.” "It's pretty obvious now what I want to do," Miles said. "I want to hire a great staff and chase a national championship at a place that wants this pursuit. I want to recruit again. I want an AD and president to say, 'I'm with you, let's go do this.' I want them with me." Don't let this coach get away. There are a lot of schools that may pick him up. Let's be the first. I'm done...

I agree with you and would be very happy with Miles. He would be #2 on my list right after Gruden, even before Kelly. I think the Mad Hatter would fit the Southern culture better for recruiting.

It's lost...and he's not getting it back. The stories that will come out afterward may make Dooley look well adjusted.

This is what concerns me with the decision to keep him until the end of the year. I've had the misfortune of being in a situation like that and I hate it for the kids.

Here is an interesting thought from tos...

In all fairness it's probably more realistic this time than last time. Gruden had a relatively new gig at MNF and things looked promising. Now? He's been there a while, ESPN has become well known for losing tons of money, and while maybe his job is safe, his negotiating position is surely lessened at ESPN than it was in the past due to their precarious position.

This.

I'm so glad y'all are here. My brothers are being such downers.

It's going to be weird to watch all the Butch crotch sniffing sunshine pumpers become negavols when Gruden is hired ...

Going to be even more entertaining the cognitive dissonance that occurs when he gets us back on top and they try to spin that as a bad thing.

Fun times, full ahead Gruden.

Man you've got issues
