As I heard it Mr. Manning marshalled financial support, and gained some concessions on control issues like the Thornton Center. Financial support was pledged for the right coach, individuals who had been an obstruction in previous situations were brought on board more or less, and Currie was given full support to get a BIG hire.

Two people have now given me that same description nearly verbatim.

Sounds a lot like a constructed narrative tbh. Not saying you’re the one with the hammer and nails, but that’s EXACTLY what everyone wants to hear if we could choose the words.

Guess we’re either going to be super pleased or super PO.

Gruden's ring tells me we should be patient.
There are many flaws in the program that will take time to correct.
The ring tells me to be pleased with a mere conference championship in year one but falling short in the national championship game.
But fret not, my child, for in year two our reign of dominance shall truly begin!
