Maybe a dumb question, but if he's been told then what motivation would he have to not tank recruiting? I understand he's coaching for another job, but what about recruiting?

And just wanna say, love the thread guys. Long time reader, first time poster (in a Gruden thread).

Again, I'm told he believes there to be a path to saving his job. There isn't. Recruiting is going to take a hit no matter what.

Nobody knows that. But my opinion on this, as long as Finebaum has been around, I would be willing to bet that he has sources all around the SEC. I honestly believe there is some legit things going on with Gruden this time.

I could be wrong and don't have any connections like some on here seem to have, but I do think Butch has a chance to save his job. Win all but Bama (maybe 1 more) and he's back IMO.

However, if I'm wrong I like the fact we didn't rush and fire Butch. Take a few weeks, make sure we have a really Grude, I mean good, replacement in place. That way we don't pay 9M to replace Butch..... With another Butch.

If Gruden and Kelly are not the top 2 targets then we have some complete imbeciles running our program.

Not saying we will get one or either of them but they are hands down the top 2 targets. Easily.
