I think the real smoke screen is the coaching search is going to go on until our basketball team learns to shoot. Once they start winning, our HC can be named.

Not being a troll, but this butch whoever chit is so ridiculous that Hart or whoever the hell is running this show is going to say enough is enough, here's the money Jon. Let's have a press conference. I'm just speculating, positively.

FWIW, I would like to apologize to those in this thread for some of my comments the past couple of weeks. Sorry I was an ass; I mean that.

I don't know what's going on with the coaching search, but Gruden seems just as likely to me now than anyone else. Here's to better days...I hope.

If Butch Jones is hired tomorrow I never EVER want to hear Gruden going in about hiw special Tennessee is to him and his family. He would have had a golden opportunity to come here and be a true hero but crapped out over money.... I just for the life of me can't fathom Butch f'n Jones being our coach.....

I am really getting tired of this. The Gruden rumors are just that..rumors. Why would we pursue Butch Jones if there was any truth to it. Let it go! There is a huge problem in the TN athletic Department. It starts with Hart and his "I do not need to hire a search firm"..well how has that worked for you? All the boosters need to do is tell TN that no donations will be forthcoming until Hart and Cheek are gone. Talked to a friend in K- Vegas just a minute ago and he said that Dr Punch remarked about Chavis being interested in the TN job and said that he could get Petrino to come and be OC. Punch said that Chavis called him personally. Flame away but I have had all I can take

I can say this:

If Tennessee resorts to hiring Butch Jones or a coach of that ilk, my season tickets will not be renewed, nor will they receive my mandatory donation! I love UT but I simply cannot stand for anymore of this garbage.

Still 100% Gruden (or other home-run hire) until some other 3rd or 4th tier (overpaid and under achieving) smuck is introduced by Hart and Co. Apparently, the Athletic Department and big $$$$ boosters have lost touch with the rank and file Volunteer fans. Regardless of what happens in this hire, know this - Dave Hart does not bleed orange like most of us in this thread and around the VolNation! We need leadership that bleeds orange!

Where the heck is Tarzan when you really need him???

BE FRIGGIN PATIENT. we should be talking about where were all gonna meet up and get wasted after gruden swoops in and saves the day.

There's like 30 people that have gone from "oh gosh i'm so wet that we're getting gruden!!! Oh yay!!!" To "nope, Butch Jones just got hired because twitter said he's a frontrunner. We're screwed. Better kill ourselves now." Just today. Come on, maaan!

Guys, everyone calm down..All the coaches mentioned aren't Tennessee worthy, really read between the lines. This has to wash out this way. Take it in stride, everytime they mention a name everyone starts claiming "The Sky Is Falling", we are the top school in need of a coach. We have our coach so please let this BS pass and stand strong. HE IS COMING!!!!
