So The Haslams have a concern that Gruden has been out of NCAA coaching for 20 years and they dont know if he can handle college coaching and all that comes with it.

Haha! Man, just give it a rest. It's not happening. You would've been the guy at Lee's surrender screaming outside of Appomattox "Don't surrender boys! We can still win this!" You fought hard and gained a lot of followers. Be proud of all you've done but move on.

How many coaches could a dave hart hire, if a dave hart could hire a coach?

No, no and no. College football is a key part of ESPN programming. I can just imagine the uproar if Gruden was the coach of UT and was doing analysis work during the bowl season. Do you really think the rest of the college coaching fraternity would sit idly by? As a result, ESPN would certainly avoid this scenario.

Pearl did some studio work, but he wasn't in the booth providing analysis. Different situations...

Well so far the search does appear FUBAR because fans believe the SNAFU due to past AD experience and are waiting for the BOHICA that seems to be coming based on media reports.

I agree with this, but do you find it odd that Tirico is doing the National Championship game on radio w/out Gruden
