I believe it was reported that those guys were waiting to see who the new coach was before deciding. Also players have a long while yet before they have to declare for the draft. Not really surprised that we have not heard from those three yet.

Boomer_Vol. I agree with you about Hyams. He's an idiot. And I loved Hargis saying that they KNoxville media needs to get off their butts, and do some work and stop getting spoon fed by the AD. Chattanooga reporters put out the best and most positive articles. Knoxville media such as Adams, etc. spew garbage and negativity which I am personally sick of as a life long fan and alumni.

As for your comments earlier about Yay4Bray being right, but premature. Do you believe an announcement will come this week? Thanks for all of your insight.

Im not belittling you dude. I do not blindly believe in internet peeps, its called taking rumors with a grain of salt, its called taking facts that dont add up to other facts, and its also called faith (defined as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen)...

If you claim to not have hope then what keeps you going...everyman hopes for something, and yes, happiness does hinge on hope...you hope you can be a good man (most do),for nice car, a nice job, etc, etc, etc. and you do your best to help it along...but youre never guaranteed anything in life (unless you voted for obama:))...so hope IS what you have to be happy by...

Geez.

Honestly if we don't get Gruden....my vote is bring in Fulmer as HC and Chavis as DC. Fulmer coaches a year to restore pride and class and to put this thing to rest not to mention stop the embarrassment. Then next year Chavis promotes and Fulmer replaces Hart as AD. We'd have an AD that loves his school with a passion and has "his guy" as HC day one.

Thoughts?

Btw, the presser won't be today. Just that stuff will start leaking today and should cause an official press release that we have landed the big fish.

i definitely get that... but after you get "turned down" wouldnt you think that they would, since the coaching search isnt looking bright? unless they knew something... if gruden is locked in and is supposedly talking to recruits that he is coming and stay quiet, wouldnt he also want to keep those three and tell them too?

regardless there is something very fishy going on

My thoughts exactly... Gruden is good friends with Jim Haslam, that notion is absurd. The only thing I can see here to be remotely true, is if it is out of context, as in he doesn't back him for 11 million a year for him and staff, but I don't think it is at all true that he is against having Gruden as coach.

Dan Patrick said last week that Kiffin was confident USC would win their appeal and have the scholarship ban lifted, and that he intends to sign 25 this year, just in case. I can see him holding this guy off and teasing him with a scholly, only to pull it if he loses the appeal.

So the whole "smokescreen" crashes down on all these powerful guys heads if Charlie Strong takes the job?

Occam's Razor applies here. Our job is not as attractive as we think it is and we have inept people running the university. Period. There is no grand scheme and Gruden is not behind the curtain. Wake up.
