Thanks man! Im glad you said that! Usually every time one of you whiny bishes rolls in here to suggest they have "disappeared", they roll in here in a few minutes to crush your dreams...

I was hoping to see them today!

I am not whiny. I want Gruden just as bad as anyone. In fact I have a box of Padron family reserves in a dry box just for the announcement. I just want some hope man!

Hyams is generally very conservative with his answers. Typically he will say "I wont speculate" or something like that.

I really dont see why Hyams would just come out and say something about our biggest booster if it were not true. It's one thing to say "I wont say who the booster was", but it's another to say who the booster was.

This guy has a keen grasp of the obvious. :lolabove:

Exactly.......what a load......Why would the boosters not want him?????

These guys are just throwing all kinds of **** at the wall.

I'm certainly hopeful Gruden ends up here, but seriously, who should be accused of throwing the **** at the wall, eh?

My neighbors just started shooting off fireworks so I jumped on here to see if we had hired Gruden. Looks like I just have weird neighbors. :ermm:

I used to believe. but I've used logic to figure out he's not coming. If he was coming, it would be known by now. IMO, there's less than a 5% chance we get Gruden. Only way would be if Boosters and Hart say screw it and give in to his demands. It's over. Move on guys.

I'm not trying to be a negagrude or whatnot it just makes no sense. We are grasping at straws.

This is my point. Why would we have to know now? If it is true, then none of this will matter (see Alabama's fiasco). My final thought is, none of this makes any sense in a normal coaching search kind of way. To me, it may be he had legal issues and he wants a staff that hits the ground running. That way it wouldn't matter that all this drama happened, and the recruits will be waiting at the door. Remember Kiffin? He had recruits salivating to come here.

I think it is funny that you did not hear much about Arky or Auburn making offers, conducting interviews etc--until the names were announced.

And you didn't hear anything about our search until yesterday, when it supposedly became 100% transparent. Now, that could be bungling by our AD, but it is interesting nonetheless.

Arkansas made a public offer to Les Miles. There was also a report that Arkansas had spoken to Patterson, Gundy, and Peterson.

I was told by someone who follows Arkansas that Bielema contacted Arkansas and not the other way around. He basically fell into their lap, and it is my understanding that he publicly stated this at his PC. He was tired of losing his assistants at Wisconsin and wanted more money for his staff.

This just in.... Hilarious:
That people still listen to Hyams...and even go so far as to admit in public that they listen to him... And even further than that, post with statements starting in," Hyams just said....."

Lollllll!!!!

The OGs were in here very early and were very excited! After the server crashed, I haven't seen any of them in here. I know we all have to work...I guess it's easier for them since they know exactly what is going on and don't need constant confirmation.

Peyton plays tonight on Thursday night football and College Football awards. Announcement tomorrow would be perfect with all Vol Legends there to bring us back to glory! A guy can dream.

Tony B said a couple weeks ago that a major booster did not want Gruden but would not stand in the way if thats really who Dave Hart wanted. Makes sense now.

I really dont think so. I dont think Hyams was expecting to say that and I dont think he was lying. It makes absolutely no sense to lie about that.

The AD has been amazingly quiet today.....I wonder where they r hiding Hart? He is about. The least popular person in Tennessee right now!

I don't really believe He's coming, but I am still hopeful and enjoy reading the harmless speculation.

That being said . . . I have yet to hear a compelling anti-Gruden argument. Seriously.

"He costs too much money!" - simpletons who want to pay Charlie Strong 4 mil a year

"He failed in the NFL!" - So did Bill Belichek before he went to the Pats and had this guy named Tom Brady. Oh and Superbowl.

"He's not a proven recruiter!" - too stupid to address

Hyams did not "say" that...a caller did, and he very modestly replied "Thats accurate"

I just heard the search is done! Hart decided to rehire Dooley. The only stipulation was he is not allowed back on campus or to talk to any player or coach.

It's hard for me to believe that Haslam wasn't backing the hire of Gruden..Good to keep in mind this is Hyams we're talking about here.

Unless Gruden was/is asking for a deal that sets his business spidey senses off. Haslam doesn't seem like the type to take a deal no matter what.

Would someone please pull the little green Dooley out of the wires on this site..this is more nerve racking than Gruden, no Gruden, Gruden, No Gruden, Gundy, Gruden, no Gruden, Strong, no Strong, Strong, Gundy, Fedora, Gruden, No Gruden, Strong, No Strong, No Gundy, No Fedora, No Gruden......NOBODY!!,!
