Again, I'm not kidding when I say this: When TN hires a football coach, any reference to "Jon Gruden" in my mentions feed is a block.

Sounds like a butt hurt statement, he knows.

I'll have to sign up for a twitter account.

Hopefully tomorrow is the day. Either way it's been a blast to read these threads since September.

I'm just saying let's don't say that Grider resigned out of nowhere....according to his own quote he says he has planned this for two years.

I posted this earlier. Some guy who supposedly has connections to Grider's family said this is not true, and that Grider actually decided to resign just a few weeks ago. TIFWIW

OG's I've doubted often. I've been skeptical that any or all of this could be true. Especially since we always seem to get the rug pulled out from underneath us whenever we get our hopes up. So I just wanna say...

Got this in an email. I assume it's taken from TOS:

I will help you guys a little bit in connecting the dots. A lot of things I cannot reveal to you....but some things that are public information - - should steer you in the right direction.

First off - Lets remove the idea that Jon Gruden doesn't want to be considered for the job here.

** I know for a fact Jack that Gruden was talking to assistant coaching candidates about positions with UT on Saturday night and Sunday morning. I know he was specifically talking to them about TENNESSEE. I cannot tell you these coaches names. Sorry...not gonna do it. But I will say this - if he truly wasn't interested and it was truly dead - he would truly not be talking to these coaches.

** I know for a fact Jack that we have had Gruden as a candidate twice before this. Kiffin hire and Dooley hire. Both times Gruden came out and denied that he was a candidate himself in person quickly. He did the same thing with Arkansas this year. But, he NEVER did that with us. Didn't you think his agent saying we were in Fantasy Land was a bit over the top.
Maybe he had to quiet rumors quickly because we couldn't hire JG at that time.

** Recent evidence - as of yesterday and today. Who were the names of the coaches who Jay Graham has been telling people we were looking to hire? Gruden or Strong. Jalen Ramsey last night said "sometimes change is good" about UT. Someone asked him if he was "feeling Strong" - he said "Nope." Guess what - some of these recruits have been told it is Gruden. Also yesterday there were reports of Jay Graham meeting with Tee Martin in middle TN. This meeting was supposedly to be on CCS staff. Right idea....wrong staff. Then today Ivan Maisel tells UT fans to - "be patient - it took Alabama several misses before Saban." Today - Archie Manning talking about how happy Vol fans would be with their surprise coach on his interview with Brando.....was Strong a surprise?

** Today Grider quits his gig with South Pittsburgh. I am sure its a coincidence that he is good friends with Gruden. He also knows high school kids and Gruden from what I have heard was veryworried about relating to HS kids and knowing the college rules and such. Grider will be on the staff with JG. Also, I think JG already has a TN staff ready to roll and it will have a heavy orange feel to it.

** Finally - I have been lead to believe from one of my sources that a substantial gift was made specifically for JG. If we failed to hire him, the gift was revoked.

**** That is all I can say at this time. I have connected tons of dots for you, but honestly there are a whole lot more of them out there. I hope you enjoy. I hope you believe. I HAVE NOT SEEN A SIGNED CONTRACT. THINGS MAY FALL THROUGH AND I WOULD BECOME A LAUGHING STOCK.....but, I have never mislead you before on this stuff. I am not trolling. I am just telling you what I know....what I have deducted using logic, and what I believe to be true. So - there go. Flame away.

babyavi flip-flops more than Anne Heche's sexuality in the 90's. Seriously, it made me want to throw my keyboard out of the window after frantically trying to sign back on here for 30 minutes just to see his garbage as one of the first responses that loaded.

I'm sure you can understand me having more stock in the Quote directly from him then from "Some guy"

I lost interest after the fiasco on Friday and haven't been actively watching the board, but the Hargis news has taken me from passive to full on Gruden. I think this is going down. We'll see soon enough what Hart is made of.

What a douche! I wish Swain would just bish slap his ugly ass!

Both. :)

Let me say this. No one feels worse than Freak. He feels like he failed you guys. He's working his ass off. I think people would be SHOCKED how much work he puts into this.

I'm not trying to start a sympathy party, I'm just letting people know this is really tough. :)

If all our options are exhausted at thi point I would support Fedora. I'm so upset right now. Can't believe this happened bro. Glad the Braves got upton though. Butttttt... Could have kept Bourne at that price.
