OK, so I posted last night a story that was related to me by one of my customers (who I had never met before and can't substantiate his story whatsoever). It was basically that his boss knew a booster in Knoxville (who owned his own security company and used to work for a railroad, possibly Norfolk Southern) and said booster told him that Gruden was in fact going to be the next UT coach and that money for assistants wasn't a problem. I told everyone to take it with a grain of salt because its about as second hand as info can get.

Well here's the interesting part....

He said one other thing (which I thought was unimportant and had honestly forgotten about until just now). He said that Gruden knew the HC of South Pittsburg, Vic Grider, and had told him that when he took the UT job he would give him a job in the AD (not as a UT coach, just a spot in the athletic department). Like I said, I had honestly forgotten that part since I have a hard time believing a guys story who I've never met anyway.

So I log on to VN just now and see that Yay4Bray said to watch the Times Free Press website closely tonight. I checked it just for the hell of it and saw that Vic Grider resigned tonight. At the very least it a pretty big coincidence...
