I have believed in this thread nearly completely up until last friday but today has done nothing but prove that gruden is a distant memory to our powers that be. The only chance this has of playing out with gruden is if the boosters cut the legs out from under hart AND cheek. There is no chance today was part of any smokescreen and anybody that believes that is foolish. If gruden is to be our coach hart/cheek must be overthrown by our boosters. That won't happen IMO but that's the only way today is the positive day many of you suggest.

Can't disagree with much of that. This is eerily similar to the way things played out at Bama. I think the big boosters may inject themselves even more now that it appears that Hart has fallen on his face. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the big money doesn't make another run at Gruden and tell Hart to get out of the way.

So what's Gruden got to do with the grider resignation? I don't have intel on this and I'm from the chatt area. Can someone fill me in

Can the first rule of posting in an Official Jon Gruden Thread be that it is illegal to quote babyavi?

For the 90% of VN posters that have him on ignore, quotes are the last vestige of his stupidity that we must endure.

Do the right thing, people!

My Father is the only person that I know that also thinks Gruden is coming. Everyone else thinks I am crazy and laughs at the notion Gruden would want to coach here. I look at them, Vols fans or not, why wouldn't Gruden want to coach at the Greatest Football Tradition in the world. Makes perfect sense to me, but it amazes me that UT fans don't think he would coach here. I look at it, why wouldn't he.

Love to see it happen....... This search is really starting to piss my wife off. I stay buried in the ipad till I pass out each night. I have a pretty good "in" with WIVK and the cumulus family of radio stations and I think everyone over there has been in the dark the entire time. None of their sources seem to know anything.
